Why do your eyes roll back when getting a light show?

And after your eyes are rolling back why do people continue to give a light show? can't you not see it if your eyes are behind your lids?

Also what do you even see when your eyes go all the way back?

Funny question. Somehow, while your eyes are bouncing around and your eyelids fluttering 100 miles an hour, you can still see the lights, Dont ask me how, its part of the magic.

People are probably just to high to realize that they are burning their retinas and corneas beyond degree and whatnot.... Than the eyes roll back into the head to escape the excessive light while the person still just enjoys it because they are rolling. Just my guess.

Uhm, no... This is not true at all.

I thought this is strictly an overdose thing..
Never experienced it myself despite having a pair of extra sensitive eyes. :)

This. I thinks it's just your body feeling so good.
Skilled glover + eye wiggles = floored
A great experience if you've never tried it.

Oh I know light shows.... I also know what I said is true no matter how laymans way I put it.

Eyes Rolling back does not mean you are overdosing. It just means your rolling really hard and IME is a good way to gauge if your product is real or not--even tho I'm sure other compounds cause nystagmus.

I've noticed they do like to go ape shit when getting a light show and I've noticed strobes also do this. Me eyes rolling back just means everythig feels so damn good. My advice wear some shades haha and they are perfectly normal.

why do your eyes roll back when you have an orgasm?

i theorize that it's just the same intense pleasure.

i would even go so far as to say that if your eyes don't roll back with mdma multiple times in one night then you're not rolling as intensely as you should (due to various reasons such as low dose, tolerance, simply being used to it, not being in a stimulating enough environment, ...)

Also what do you even see when your eyes go all the way back?

You either see darkness or what you last saw, which is your field of vision getting wobbly and flickering in and out. Even if the eyes roll up, you can still kind of see what's in front of you.

Who said anything about overdose? I just mention that because people are high they don't care burning out their retinas and unconsciously allow their eyes to roll back to give it a break from the overpowering lights. Of course also they are really high....

You will not, in any case, burn out your retinas from watching regular light sticks, gloves or lights. Not at all.

The eyes aren't rolling back to give you a break from overpowering ligths, they roll back out of pleasure. You see the same thing happen to people on MDMA when they dance, cuddle or talk with people. Their eyes often roll back, or close. It's a result of pure pleasure, nothing more.

You can damage your eyes on too powerful lasers, of course. But in that case closing your eyes won't protect you much, permanent damage is done within milliseconds. Where I live there are rules on what kind of lasers that are allowed, on for example a rave. Lasers that can damage eyes are not allowed.

And also, try closing your eyes in front of gloves when sober. You still see all the colors, and how the colors on the gloves change. The eyelids are thin :)

That's why a lightshow is good, even with your eyes closed and all over the place.

Glow sticks and finger lights dont burn your retina. Your eyes dont roll back to escape the excessive light. It's called Nystagmus, it's caused by the mdma. Why so stubborn?

Ahh that answers my question, thanks! Good discussion guys i was genuinely interested

I am stubborn because in my opinion it is a great factor that sets off that effect. It is also pleasure and letting go on MDMA as you all point out as well, but light shows have the extra power of strong bulbs.... Ever have an inova or rav'n shined direct into your eye as that hurts like hell. Some people don't know good ways to prevent the light from being overpowering during a close up show without damaging the trails it creates.

I was rolling hard last time I can assure you but still no memories of my eyes rolling back. Not even during orgasm. I'll definitely pay attention next time, maybe I just didn't notice it. :D

Mine doesn't roll back if there is a slightest bit of amphetamines in the MDMA. Still feels just as good. I just have nystagmus, no other involuntary movement (like rolling back, closing, crossing, etc)
Pure MDMA however, my eyes are much more all over the place. :D
