Do Jihadists have a point?

Jihadists rebel because they seeGod reward Satan for rebellion.

The facts, as I understandthem from scriptures, indicate that Satan rebelled in heaven, was crowned asthe first Morning Star, was intentionally placed to enlighten Eve with her Godgiven powers, then Eve enlightened Adam.

Satan was given dominion of theworld and that is also what I. S. wants.

The world is moving towards aone world government. No question as all one needs do is look at the rapprochementof all of the various countries, one to the other.

I S thinks it can oust theoligarchic, --- some think democratic, --- control that the world is now under,to one where Allah rules.

Unfortunately, Allah is notabout and I do not think he will show up soon, --- and that is the only possiblething that will bring the oligarchs or democracies to bend the knee.

I. S. and all home grownterrorists know this deep down and that means that they are basically suicidal andinsane. One of Canada’s home grown Jihadist was thrown out of his mosque andyet even with all we knew of him, he still slipped in to do his evil deed.

I. S. and all home grownterrorists know, thought or free thinking cannot be stopped. They know thisfrom their own thinking. They, stupidly, think they can control the world bydoing just that same kind of thought control. It is unfortunate that we cannot legislatethis type of stupidity away.

Sorry Jihadist scum,Christianity already tried that, --- and failed, --- as Gnostic Christians likeme are still around and are strong.

If I were speaking directlyto a real Jihadist, I would have this to say;

“Satan was rewarded forchallenging oppression and tyranny. A just cause.

You have no just cause, andunfortunately, as the spearhead of a religion that would deny mankind freedomof thought, you will become as redundant as Christianity is today.

That is how the world rewardsthose of your ilk.

Christians hated GnosticChristians enough to decimate us because we would not bend the knee to thosewho would demand that we think as they did.

The world will have the sameanswer for you when we kill you.

We do not want to kill you, however, if you do not repent; you will die by the sword.

Free thinking is now too bigto fail. Even you are not immune and cannot prevent yourself nor others fromdoing it. Recognize this, friend, before you die needlessly and harm others forbeing angry with yourself”

Hard to know who's a jihadist, an insurgent, a rebel, or just a family man fighting for his home and right to self-determination. The media tends to clump them all under one label these days for simplicity's sake.

It's obvious that western imperialism is continuing to happen in the middle east. It's also obvious that there are some pre-existing whackjobs in the region that want everyone to live in the 16th century again if they could have their way. But there are plenty of shades of grey in between and I imagine if we heard those people's stories we might sympathize with why they are violently angry.

The do hate us for a reason and that is what I am after.

We do not seem to be getting much from the horses mouth and that Is making me thing that they are a friendly flag operation as they do not seem to have an overall plan.

Could it just be our governments feeding us drama to keep us occupied?

Ugh, I'm so sorry for the brainwashing the western media has done to people by distorting and skewing the use of the word Jihad. Jihad literally means "struggle" and can also be translated meaning "to resist [sin, temptation]" or "to strive [for the way of God]." It is one of the practices in Islam. All Muslims commit jihad every day in an inner spiritual battle against the lures, impurities, and temptations of sin in this world. It is also the individuals spiritual progression in the path of following the way of God, through submission and surrender. Whether it be through following the Pillars of Islam (prayer, paying alms, etc), or restraining from what is forbidden such as certain foods, alcohol, etc, and so forth.

There are many types of jihad. Of course there are extremists/terrorists who commit jihad by killing innocent people, but the vast majority of people following Islam are non-violent "jihadists."

First off, turn off Al-Jaazera every once in a while.

Secondly, Jihad might mean those other things but it has become synonymous with violence. Just like the word "Crusade".

Well said. There are two sides to every story no matter how convinced you are. Their beliefs, reasoning and personal experiences may have led them to the anger they feel, but it comes down to how that anger is handled. As soon as innocent lives start being affected, you're wrong wrong wrong in every way. Even if those innocent lives appear to be "part of the problem".

People really are good at the core, evil is not in nature's instinct. I refuse to believe people really want to hurt other people based purely on belief systems. Things get taken out of context, lies get told, time goes by and then people do things to each other because they feel they're acting re-actively.

If you see a guy robbing an old lady and you walk up to him and kick his ass, you wont feel bad for it because you feel like you did the right thing. If that lady came around the corner, pointed at him, claimed he tried to rob her, and you walked up to him and kicked his ass....you may or may not feel bad based on what facts you have. After that, you may hear that this guy's entire family robs old ladies, so you decide burning down their house is justified because they're bad people that support bad things. Well now what if one of his family members knows that not to be true but you just crippled their boy and burned their house down, so they dig up some dirt on you and get people rallied against you, then your family rallies with you to fight back. Then, both families go around to other families spreading what they see as "the truth" and get people rallied into the fight. Then, people start making things up just to keep everyone interested in the fight, make the other side seem more and more evil, until there is a straight up world war going on. Then, people like the mailman, your kid's friends, and the paperboy are all getting killed because they were seen knocking on your door and were assumed to be taking your side. All this stemmed from something that has nothing to do with the people who are currently fighting the battle and nobody has any proof that the original sparking offense actually happened..

Pretty much what's going on here.

Well put. I agree with all but this.

" People really are good at the core, evil is not in nature's instinct."

Evil, like good, is within us or we could not do evil.

Please opine on this O.P.

Why the assumption? I don't watch Al-Jazeera or use it as a source.

The only reason the word has become synonymous with violence is because of the media.

The media? I thought it was the men that said they were leaving to Syria to go on "Jihad" and scream Allahu Akhbar while they blow up and shoot people they don't agree with. Or that go on "Jihad" and ram plans into buildings. Hardly a construct on the media and it's only semantics, should we just call it "Islamic terrorism" instead of "Jihad" what difference does it make? Both means to the same end.

We should start calling Priests - "Pedophiles". Some priests have been caught and accused of molesting children, so pedophilia is practically synonymous with priesthood, right?

Yes but the media, and some politicians, always use it as blanket statement to mean terrorism. Richard has a good point above.

Playing devils advocate..

The analogy doesn't fit.. and Tromps definition of it isn't exactly correct / the only one.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jihad

Muslims and scholars do not all agree on its definition. Within the context of the classical Islamic law, it refers to struggle against those who do not believe in the Islamic God (Allah) and do not acknowledge the submission to Muslims,[6] and so is often translated as "Holy War",[7][8][9] although this term is controversial.[10] According to the Dictionary of Islam[3] and Islamic historian Bernard Lewis, in the large majority of cases jihad has a military meaning.[11] Javed Ghamidi states that there is consensus amongst Islamic scholars that the concept of jihad will always include armed struggle against wrong doers.

..

The beginnings of Jihad are traced back to the words and actions of Muhammad and the Quran.[20] This encourages the use of Jihad against non-Muslims.

..

The context of the Qur'an is elucidated by Hadith (the teachings, deeds and sayings of the Islamic prophet Muhammad). Of the 199 references to jihad in perhaps the most standard collection of hadith -- Bukhari—all assume that jihad means warfare.[26]
