Red dye I would have thought. I've only ever seen white (bicarb cook) or yellow (ammonia cook).

i used to see a fair amount of pink crack about and it was usually headbangobellringer grade
as for the source of the colour its food dye

food dye - seen it done with coke and speed before, marketing doncha know. The stones i get that are proper are tiny but are the only ones that actually get you buzzed - sweat like a pig after a toot head stuffed with high frequency cotton wool.

There are tales of mythological black coke in the 70s and 80s...something strange like it was mixed in with iron fillings to detract scent or something..then when it arrived filings were meant to be removed with high power magnets but still some of the iron remained ..I really have heard this story a few times,fuck knows what the truth is..

I remember when I was at uni my ket dealer decided to mix some strawberry essence into the bottle before he cooked up a batch, the idea being it would smell of strawberries when you snorted it and the drip would taste nicer. In fact all we got were sticky pink bogies. Not impressed!

I was the same - use to get a few stones and it was just a waste of time - now i get these tiny fuckers -2 pipes per stone (x2 for 15 quid) but its like being taken back to the 90's just wish it was at a decent price - normal hackney stones are .3 for a tenner but all bicarb no coke

This reminds me of the whole "Pink Champagne" Phet in the 90's tale, and I presume it'll end the same way.
First batch is super potent, and accidentally/purposely "marked", word gets out that the marked product is highly potent. Then, the next batch is of reduced potency, but marked again. Either the first source or a copycat then begins cutting said product, but still marking/dying it until colour is meaningless and purity is average at best.
