Whenever i smoke weed or eat an edible or smoke wax I instantly get restless leg syndrome. Its a little worst then that. My leg feels like its gonna explode. It literally feels like something pops inside my leg like a vein or a blood vessel. I cant walk on it or sit on it. It feels like the vein behind my knee is about to pop out. Gets very tight. I use to smoke like a chimney. But i noticed this happened after i stopped taking xanax. Also happens if tweaked. Even off both of those it happens. Its not the quality cuz i have my card and have bought from lows, mids, top shelf. Has anyone else experienced this? Feels like rls+edema+bloodclots. But the thc wears off my legs back to normal.

Never had that myself, sounds like you might want to see a doctor, I'm not sure weed could cause it, it sounds like a medical problem. I'd get it checked out, could be DVT or something else that might get more serious.

Ive got it checked out. They found nothing. It only happens on thc not on opiates or uppers.

Well, even if I was a real doctor it'd be impossible to diagnose something from a short post on an internet forum. I've never had that or heard of anybody else having that symptom from smoking cannabis.

How long ago did you stop xanax? It sounds like anxiety presented in uncomfortable tension. I would recommend exercise, smoking less, and stretching a little before a session.

I get weird rls when I get really stoned to quickly. It feels like too much energy, but not in a stimulating way if that makes sense.

I agree.

You are accustomed to xanax decreasing your anxiety, you quit using it. Cannabis is known to cause increased anxiety in certain individuals and part of the anxiety seems to be your muscles becoming tense. Try cannabis that has a higher CBD content that has helped me quite a bit. Harlequin and charlottes web are two strains that come to mind that have a higher CBD content.

cut back on da smoke, mon. until these symptoms dissipates leab da erb alone. see a physio and get a professional opinion.

Do you smoke anything besides weed? cigs?
The first thing I thought was this could be circulation related. Pretty well known =smoking doesn't help blood flow well through the body.

At any time in the last few months, have you injured your knee, leg, hip, or lower back? Or had a muscle strain? Or do you generally have tight hamstrings, groin, quadrucep, hip flexor, calf, hip, and/or lower back muscles? All these could be causing strain on that area.

Although cannabis is often considered an anti-inflammatory, some types of cannabis can actually be pro-inflammatory in some people. So you could have a mild back-ground injury or strain which you don't notice usually, but is being inflamed when you use cannabis. If that was the case, the xanax you used to take probably counteracted that by relaxing the muscles, but now obviously doesn't (and if you're having benzo withdrawals, that would increase the muscle tension on its own, probably).

So you could try seeing a physio to identify if there's any such cause. You could try regularly stretching and/or massaging the muscles I mentioned above. Of course, as others have mentioned above, you could also just not use cannabis.

ya sounds like something related to xanax and meth, assuming thats what you meant when you said 'tweaking'... also diet and exercise will factor into these things.

my guess is that when you smoke weed you become more aware of a preexisting condition. I know for some people with back pain they say it makes it worse because they start thinking about it more, like a paranoia or hypochondria about the pain.

xanax and meth are some pretty serious drugs, especially to be doing them in combination. I know when I used to do a lot of opiates, benzos, coke, and drink I would get some pretty knarly experiences.
