Yes they really do.

It doesnt mean there better looking than you or have more money than you, chances are they may not because youve just saved £175 on yours... :D

People that have to have the latest apple devices and all the accesssories that go with it, right down to special little apple 'socks' to prevent it getting scratched really annoy me. My Dad bought me one of those £20 mobiles, as i dont use or need one, but he seems to want me to be at his beck and call at all times. Allthough it came in usefull one evening for meeting a mate from work at a gig where he wasnt familliar with the venue. It is still possible to arrange to meet someone the way people did for decades beforehand, saying 'i'll meet you at xxxx at 7.30'

Yea too right. I could buy a carpet for lilvibe's room for £175 or food or some Christmas stuff for lil' Lilvibe or some bills or......

There was a time - not so long again I was spending $257 on 112 codeine tabs (not something I'm proud of but that's addiction for you :) )

Of course it is but if you don't embrace change we would never progress. Why have a car when you can ride a horse? Why ride a horse when you can walk?

A mobile phone is a very useful tool for everyday life in a modern world, it doesn't mean you have to be texting people every 5 minutes.

i do love my phone. i dont text every moment, but it is just soo handy to have...

a bit too handy at times. i feel like im relinquising a lot of brain functions over to it... memory is getting rusty as a result

sorry to disappoint you but I am back and must say I am gob smacked they let me go no warning no threats other than 6 months in a rehab centre if this doesn't work I've just got more help in the last hour than the last 6 months I am hopefully getting a case work and therapist which will come to my house to help with my problems of dealing with public environment's guess dropping 5 etzi in total helped lol

Yeah, all valid points. I do love some technological changes and improvements, the internet and HD TV for example, it's just some people obsessions over mobile phones in the early days really put me off. Completely, probably for life. Im not a techno-phobe, i just dont need a mobile. When people ask me for my mobile number and i tell them i dont have one, they dont believe me, and think im being 'funny'. It's like everyone HAS to have one. I talk to people on the phone all day at work, and in the short distance between work and my commute home i can do without being available to talk to on a phone until i get home, where I'll be available on my landline.

FoolsGold; I hope all goes well at the copshop. Hopefully they'll be more interested in your wellbeing and stuff, rather than out to get a cheap bust. Apparently they are meant to be improving the way they deal with people that may have mental health or substance misuse problems. Punishing you for your problems isnt going to help anyone, and would just set you back in life and add to your problems, making it even more difficult to get a job and stuff like that. I really hope it doesnt come to that, and that you get to reply on here later on, saying 'they told me to attend drug services counselling' or something like that. That would be a win imo.

EDIT: I see your update. Very glad that they didnt throw the book at you and lock you up.
