Not really. A quarter a week.


I think my problem is I grew up hanging out/being friends with drug dealers but never actually sold them myself, so I started smoking when I was younger like I had an infinite supply or something. Honestly, though? It surprises the hell out of me when people are surprised at a gram-a-day habit. I feel like I know plenty of people that've passed that mark nearly every day by the time 11am rolls around.

It is what it is, though. It's a constant effort to keep my use down, because I really hate it when I smoke too much too soon and run out of herbal before the week's up.
 
I'm surprised because you might as well just buy a vape when you're going through that much money, it would pay for itself in maybe two weeks of use lol
 
ya gram a day is pretty moderate for me. I know it's still a lot but there was a long period of my life when I was starting my day with around a gram rolled in a joint. Still to this day I can sit and smoke an eighth in a matter of hours or much more with a few friends. I've rolled an entire eighth into a blunt before with a few friends.

are vapes more efficient that pipes?

I just don't like vapes, man, but I think it might be because I've never had one of my own to really get to know. I feel like the only times vapes have been as effective as I'd like is when I would use the heating element in a G Pen (EDIT for clarification: I don't remember the brand of my friend's that I would always use, I just tend to call all vape pens "G pens") for way too long and ended up burning whatever I'm trying to vaporize.

Why do you say it would pay for itself, though? Would you think vaping would likely result in using less overall? (Honest question here)

Same. That's why I try not to roll blunts anymore, lol. I'm strictly glassware these days if it's my stash getting burnt.

yea definitely less use, a good convection vape will get you as stoned with 1/3rd the green of a joint as the whole joint would smoked. i dunno, i think vapes are great but i'm hesitant to say go buy one now because all my toking friends prefer bongs and joints to vaping and they've had plenty of experiences with convection vapes. i have no idea why, to me there's so little difference between the vaped and smoked high
 
Any brand you'd recommend? Price doesn't really bother me as cheaper vapes seem to equate to shittier vapes from the few reviews I've read.

I feel like I'd prefer a smaller, more portable pen-style vape too, but it might be a pain to find a decent one that can handle flowers/herb as I don't currently have access to concentrates. Shit, guess I got some research to do....
 
HerbalAire is the best alternative to the Volcano IMHO, same method of action but it's modular and half the price
 
idk about that herbalaire after watching a review. I don't really like the whip set up with vapes i prefer the bag and I'm not a fan of the external pump.

i forget the name but there is a vape that has a bong attachment that runs around the same price as the volcano. I've heard good things about it but haven't got to try it yet.

I've just got some flowers. Decent bud, don't get me wrong.... but I could really go for some hash right now. I think I'm either gonna have to move out West or learn to make the shit myself if I ever want a steady supply, though.

HerbalAire does bag mode too, that's what the pump is for, or you can detach the pump and just do nipple or whip style. The external pump is a bit of a hassle to deal with but the benefits are that you can travel light by just taking the vape unit without bags, and also air pumps generally don't have a long MTBF so it's good to have an external one you can replace without having to disassemble/service the entire kit.

lol! That's funny, man, I googled HerbalAire when I read your post and the first thing I saw was that it uses bags and was a logical alternative to a Volcano. I immediately thought "This isn't what the fuck I wanted" and exxed out of the window, lol. I'm going to have to look at it with a more open mind. Honestly, the Magic Flight Launch Box looked like the one to go for, but I wasn't reading about it for more than 10min before I got sidetracked and forgot about vapes altogether.



On a side note, I'm eatin' ramen for dinner tonight. It's okay because I'm high and drunk and kind of like emotionally stressed, though, so it's basically like I'm pretending I'm in college again.

I'm even spicing it up with hot dogs, cheese, peanut butter and a dassshhhhhh of hot sauce. Fuckin' ramen magician out this bitch. Y'all should see my buddy Tyrone, though. That mother fucker learned to make some shit with ramen when he was incarcerated in Georgia (not a joke. Dude's a fucking artist with packaged noodles.)
 
if you've can get clean oil it's hard to beat. I love how quick and strong the high hits.

been on a vape binge myself. Just got a heat gun with a temp gauge sitting on its back and the volcano bag attachment I picked up second hand for super cheap. Its been working great tho for years- planned to buy a volcano when this thing went out but its still going so....
