Opioids Whats your take on my story??

@gabagool

^_^

Let me know if you got a job opportunity, chemist-engineer here looking for a job, unfortunately, doing so in Canada. I wish I was in US.

Chemist engineer and you're out of work!?!?!? What a world!!! That shouldn't even be legal. If you can work a saute pan or work a grill I can help...but not with something as important as what you do!!! I've got 3 restaurants.....chem engineers would be ...uhh....UNDEREMPLOYEED, should we say...

You didn't do anything wrong my friend. The Loperamide just did what it's capable of doing which is lessening/eliminating opiate withdrawal symptoms for a period of time.

That being said, ***PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THE LOPERAMIDE!*** It can definitely turn into an addiction before you even realize it. Last winter, I started taking it during the early stages of Suboxone withdrawal to help with my symptoms...welp, before I knew it, I was taking it every day and also increasing my doses at that. I never got too crazy with my use of it (topped out at about 40mg per day) but doing that for six months straight got me very addicted to the Loperamide. I'm currently right in the thick of cold turkey Loperamide withdrawal and it is absolutely no joke. It takes a very long time to get through and the symptoms can be absolutely agonizing.

Use the Loperamide sparingly to help cope with your symptoms and taper off it as quickly as you can tolerate. Good luck!

Sit, man...sorry to hear about you're suffering.....u see, when I read about others going thru it, I break out in a cold sweat....I think I'm so afraid of withdrawals, especially the depression part, that I think I'm actually being extremely paranoid about it. The thought of posting on a site...let alone GOING TO WORK....absolutely freaks me out.....and I actually can take a lot of pain...breaks, burns, etc...but withdrawel, UGH!! I really hope you feel better soon!!

PS..and I've actually read of people who go through withdrawals MANY TIMES!!!! Can that possibly be true???

The depression part of drugs when withdrswaling is no joke, that's why its important to exercise & have loved ones support you when you're going thru this.

Benzo withdrawal makes opiate withdrawal easy.......I tapered down off a 6 month binge of xanax & there were times I thought I would always be depressed, etc.......but time heals.

I see you're in the restaurant business......I've been in it since I was 10 years old. My dad had me bussing tables at a young age & on the grill by 15......we've had several restaurants so I know how stressful owning/running a restaurant can be & you using tea to start up & run a successful business makes sense.

Thanks, lol.....what do u mean taper .25 to .5? Do u mean the lope?? Cause I am on .5 mg of subutex, yesterday being my first day
That I didn't feel so hot.....after about 11 days at that dosage. You're not saying to cut that in half, are u?? Sorry for being so thick.

Yes, indeed loperamide. 1/8 (.25mg ) pill to 1/4 (.5mg) to 1/2 (1mg) pill a day, as quickly as you can manage.

But at this point it appears you've gotten your own place? Are you going to stick it out on the bupe and then beg for your lady to take you back? If so I'd forget lope and stick with your Dr.'s advice, you've followed it well.

Yeah, beg is the right word.....I really hope see can see thT she's been too angry in this situation, and understand that I am NOT trying to cut corners....just want to be careful......thank you for all your help....lol........

Wait, so you're gonna just taper with bupe per your doctors directions and then try to get into her good graces? If so forget anything I said about loperamide. There are compounding pharmacies which may be able to make you .475 mg, .45 mg, .425 mg and so on (.025 mg less every third day). Ask your Dr. about tapering that way.

Wow..that quick, huh? I never thought that would be the schedule.....I figured .5 for a couple weeks, .25 for a couple weeks.....125 for a few....and then every other day...then every third day...........kinda like that.....
