Yes it has already peaked when you feel it.

I take generic clonazepam (same thing). It takes 10-15 minutes to feel and 45min - hour and a half to peak, higher the dosage faster the onset and peak. Hope that helped.

when i had a tolerance i would throw 6mg a time under my tongue, gave me a nice buzz in 10 minutes that could last acouple hours

Most say sublingual is better for quicker release and not as last longing. I personally find no difference and have been prescribed it for a long time, Clonazepam tends to chalk/chunk up under the tounge, unlike lets say Lorazepam.

clonazepam sucks, taking it sublingually is a only a bit better than oral, enough to make it my primary ROA for it though, it still will take 3 hours or so to kick in and peak..

The 5mg will refer to the weight of the active ingredient. The whole pill will obviously weigh much more otherwise the pills would be unmanageably small.

As a side to this, if the active chemical is bound to an inactive molecule or ester then the total amount of the desired drug you are getting is less than the total weight of the chemical....... An example of this is a delayed release depot injection such as a 100mg injection of testosterone enanthate which is made up of roughly 87mg of active testosterone and 13mg of the inactive enanthate ester which breaks off to release the active part into the bloodstream slowly over time.....however I digress......

To answer your question though the dosage (weight) stated on the container or packet refers to the weight of the actual drug not the weight of the pill itself. The ratio of active ingredient to binders will dependent on the doseage of the pill and its overall size... I.e. a fairly small 500mg pill will contain relatively fewer binders compaed to a much larger 1mg pill.

-on my case, I took 6 mg sublingual (2mg->2mg->2mg in a row aprocess of 5-7 minutes to dissolve under my tongue ... i start to feel it in after the last pill dissolve 15 minutes later, hit faster and last for 2-3 hours (less than oral).. If you don't have tolerance, use oral, if you have high tolerance as me, sublingual is the only way you can feel something from them... from my own experience. I wish have no tolerance, because when oral hits you, las for 4 hours...

I look at it like this, klonopin is the methadone of benzos.

Unlike, lets say the heroin of benzos, xanax, with a strong swift kick and a fleeing duration, klonopin is alike to methadone in the sense of the way it comes about in onset but also packs a hell of a lasting half life.

With that being, that shit kicks in fucking quick, despite all that.


I remember being in high school and just eating them at say like my lunch break then to go onto my next class incapable of keeping my head up. Some people say they gain little from it, I think it is all in what you expect, if you're one with a deeply rooted value for xanax, I can see how it may be a disappointment, for me it isn't without disadvantages to a degree, but, it does have a place and at times....quite practical.

Personally, never really noted a peak, it would make its presence known, sail about in the hours or even, the next day to come. Not even mentioning once you're taking it daily and it all ends up running into each other and building within your system, which in another way comes back to the methadone reference in the sense that people feel it is a worse withdrawal and case of dependence in comparison as to something like heroin.

Wow. I learn something new everyday! So does that mean you can take Xanax sublingually as well? Is there any benefit in doing so? If there is, it would have to be a pretty big advantage, as those are some of the worst tasting nastiest pills I have ever tasted in my life. It's right up there with Flagyl. As in puke inducing disgusting. I get .5mg ones, I usually take 1mg orally once a day. I've never gotten any sort of high off of them, they just help me with my anxiety and my insomnia and they potentiate my pain meds. Would taking it under the tongue increase it's potentiating effects to opiates? Make it so I can take less with the same result? And please someone explain to me why some think that benzos are euphoric? Or in any other way enjoyable? To the tune of creating a physical dependance from taking them just by the way they make you feel? I honestly don't understand it. Would me taking a higher dose open my eyes to it's potential greatness? I've never taken more than 1mg at a time and never more than 3mg in an entire 24 hour period.

Other than a faster onset, and maybe a more "in your face" experience. There isn't much different than just taking it orally.
