Tiny crack in curtains allowed neighbors to see porn. They yelled "We can see you!"
So... This just happened. "Porn" isn't descriptive enough... It was lesbian foot fetish sex. The way it happened, I live on the first floor and it was dark outside. You can see straight into my apartment at night without curtains, but I keep the curtains closed. There is a little hill that leads up pretty close to one of the windows and it just happens to be one of the areas where people stand and smoke. Obviously this would be a situation where you would make sure the curtains were drawn if you were to be looking at such things, and I did, however a house plant caught the corner of the drapes where they come together in the middle with its branch and the result was a tiny opening into my room that pointed directly at the screen of my computer. I heard people outside on and off and nervously looked at the curtains every so often to make sure they were closed. They certainly looked like they were. Unfortunately the curtains are black and the dark of night outside blended in perfectly. At some point, I heard someone yell what I'm pretty sure was, "We can see what you're looking at through the window!", but again, I looked at the curtains and saw that they were closed and so I went back watching. There was a nagging feeling that wouldn't leave me alone after that though and about twenty minutes later I decided I would put some sports on the screen and walk outside to see what I could see... and what I saw was football players trotting around my screen. Literally all you could see of the room was the chair I was sitting in and the laptop screen. The crack in the blinds was tiny, but standing at the right angle you definitely would have noticed the brightly lit action on the screen.
Here's my dilemma-- The people who stand in this area pretty much consist of people I know: The upstairs neighbors, or their friends from neighboring houses. I live in an area where I encounter my neighbors on a fairly regular basis. I'm not sure how to react if it gets brought up, or really whether to expect if it will get brought up. I'm wondering if anyone has been on either side of this situation, how they felt/ reacted?
