Sincerest best wishes for a great day, as I'm sure you will have with the help of your magical boyfriend. Unfortunately we (I) are not all as good as we'd like to be and I'm truly sorry for not being able to help you celebrate. Your kindness to all and sundry does not go unnoticed though, and you shall have your reward one day. Life's just a bit complicated right now. But don't let it be for you! Relax. Enjoy. And take copiuous amounts of whatever drugs you have available.

Awww im jealous. Mistypants made a special birthday. Gif, if he had the brains to swap the numbers around it would have been an apt birthday gift! on my phone so no surprises this year from me

I will neither be 24 or 42 but somewhere in-between and will quite happily take the 24. Thank you all. <3
 
I do believe it's a case of being the nearest weekend to it. I often do the same thing and have my "Official Birthday" on the weekend and my actual birthday on whichever less handy day it happens to fall on.

Alternatively, I rather than SHM got my dates mixed up which is always a likely possibility.

Doesn't everybody have birthweek celebrations rather than birthday ones anyway?
