Really? I've had experiences that were verging on both, to the extent that I stopped bothering with it.

It was only the fact I was experienced that stopped me mistaking it for a 'bad trip' (and thus fulfilling the prophecy) once, and I managed to wrestle back control. Other people (brimz for example) haven't been so fortunate.

This wasn't dose dependent either, at least when the amount taken was above the threshold of a normal psychedelic dose. Unpredictable stuff - twelve hours with the flu, or twelve hours with the Gods. And yeah, at least an hour on the shitter either way.

Doses of 5mg or so provided a lovely lift to the day, however.

Same here i cant be bothered with it now, last time i did it i dropped 50mg, sicky 4 hour comeup and uncomfortable electric body load, was nice but wavey scattery effects, got annoying and wanted it to end. the time before that was 80mg which didnt have half the body load, the rest of it was similar though although less intense. the time before i dropped 60mg and it was golden, blissful euphoric, barley any body load. the effects feel so scattery its like a drug that cant decide what it wants to do, like a little kid with buttons that alter effects fucking about

its a drug quite influenced by the mood of the subject. i feel a lot of problems come because some take it to lift mood and for pleasure in a similar way to mdma, like a button to press for guaranteed results, whereas i feel it is far more a psychedelic at heart - in the same way one would not take lsd when tired and down because tripping will only exacerbate things.

also, taking something for the comeup to mitigate the nausea might help a lot....

Just an overwhelming feeling of doom which wouldn't go away no matter what music I put on, where I wandered, or what I read. Started feeling hot and cold alternately and the bodyload just kept pushing. Felt as if I'd poisoned myself. This lasted about five hours.

I was in that state when my girlfriend came round later, and to be fair to her, she changed the trip for the better, though she started badly by dragging me round a supermarket. Anybody remember how grim those Somerfield branches could be? It was horrible. After that ordeal though, all I remember is looking at the way the pavements were glistening after the rain and knowing everything was going to be alright.

The latter part of the trip was just me and my girlfriend entwined on my bed (in a non-sexual way, or at least not directly sexual), smoking weed, listening to music and then inviting a good friend over.

The weirdest bit was how high my girlfriend got, despite her intake being no more than 0mg. It wasn't the weed either. Our friend just assumed we were both tripping, which we kinda were.

Thanks Sammy (and I don't mean that in a sarcastic way), you've pretty much confirmed my suspicions with this substance - i.e. too long, too unpredictable and too much poo! may be one to save for the end of the world, in order to go out with a bang (or a whimper)...

Doesn't look right if someone thanks me, so ta for confirming it wasn't sarcastic.

And I don't mean to put anybody off the stuff - when it's good it's one of my favourite drugs, up there with acid - but it really is one that's so hit-and-miss that people should prepare themselves for the possibility of twelve hours of disappointment and discomfort, because there's a better than one-in-three chance that's what they're getting.
