weird reaction to LSD last night.

was tripping last night with a few mates. I luckily had LSD, they had 25i.

I swallowed my tabs at about 10:20, still in the plastic wrap they came in. And I didn't feel much at all for about 3 hours. I was just very slightly above baseline.

I thought it must be bunk stuff and thought I wasn't going to trip, so I started drinking instead. Then, when I started to feel drunk, all of the sudden the acid hit me fairly strongly, and I suddenly felt like I was tripping.

Such a weird reaction. I've had tabs from this batch before and thought they were pretty damn good, normal come up and duration and obviously LSD. And these were obviously LSD too.

Wondering why I didn't trip for so long, and until I started to drink. Does LSD have any cross tolerance with Ketamine?
 
Id say its a certainty really.. like walking into the shop, purchasing a Twix not bothering to open it :?

Do you usually eat drugs like that Hex or was it accidentally?
 
definitely felt like acid to me, had these tabs before and yeah, they're definitely LSD. I swallowed it in the wrap because it was wrapped around the tabs tightly, when dosing I was out in public and didn't want to faff about trying to get the wrap off. surely in stomach acid though a plastic wrap will dissolve pretty instantly?

it was just in a small but tight bit of clingfilm.
 
It did dissolve but slower than usual and at a guess maybe the booze killed it a little..

Unwrap all drugs in future is my advice. :)
 
Hashish and other drugs tend to get wrapped in clingfilm before being eaten for smuggling purposes that should have been a pointer as to what may happen.
 
I dpoubt plastic usually dissolves at all... Probably the drinking mixed it up and released it...

the material that, for example, drug capsules are made of is designed to dissolve in the stomach in 5-15 minutes. a very brief, very unscientific search of the internet suggests that clingfilm will take much, much longer to dissolve and that it's more likely to pass through undissolved.

Yeah, what alasdair says.. Plastic isn't really known to degrade that quickly.. this is why capsules/etc are made of gelatin or the vegetarian equivalent. (And it's why plastic carrier bags are damaging to the environment because they last so long, etc. You don't really want to eat that stuff. ;))
 
seems like I was just a bit naive when dosing, I don't have much understanding of the digestive system etc. At least it hit me in the end, but I was a bit too drunk to be able to appreciate it. Aw. Waste of lovely lucy : (.
 
..just don't be surprised if some of the clingfilm comes out the other end, yeah? I can't imagine you'd have digested all of it. ;)
 
would still have chosen being drunk and delayed tripping on acid over tripping on 25i-nbome.
 
Whenever I used to buy blotters or microdots, I always covered them with sellotape 'cos I was paranoid that the 'goodies' would escape. However, this meant I had to chew them for a good 10 minutes whenever I fancied a trip. No chewin', no trippin'!!
