Yeah I'm 27.
Most of the people on my course just assumed I was the same age as them though which was nice. We were using the ages of the class as a data set for something in a tutorial once though and I was described as an 'outlier'
(actually the question was asked and I responded with the answer before anyone else had the opportunity to say it

Yeah, your only as old as you feel.
Its not really so important to me, birthdays are good of course, got a new pair of hiking boots from my uncle for my last one, plus a new vacuum pump from my old man. I actually have to go to an effort sometimes to remember how old I am, although my last b/day was close enough to remind me. I'm 28. I'd look a fair bit younger IMO, if I didn't have a bunch of scars, a couple of them on my face, due to a seizure that sent me arse over tit down a set of stairs. Opiate use seems to keep people looking young, if its not so out of control as to have artificially aged the user, and I've been on pain meds of one kind or another for 10yr+
Plus, us auties often seem to be blessed with a great deal of youthful looks far below one's actual years. I know one lass I went to school with, older than I am, might be 30 now, looks about 12, or she did last time I saw her, which was a couple of years ago. My guess is she will age well, get to look a lot better for her age than one would expect when she gets to her 50s-60s. Actually I'd not expect her to look all that much different, going from the visually apparent rate of aging thus far.
I'd love to know whats responsible for this, I see it in many of us, although particularly females. Be a hell of a cash cow if one could bottle that fountain of youth look and sell it as a beauty treatment. I don't get ID'ed anymore though, but if I got rid of the lazily-trimmed face fuzz I could probably pass for 18-20 if I tried. Although the facial scar probably looks a bit mugshot-ish. Oh well, bugger all I can do about that now.

No, its a rotary vane type vac pump, for fractional distillations under reduced pressure, solvent stripping, degassing things and such uses. If I can get together the money for a turbopump, I think I'll use it as a roughing pump to get it started so I can have a go at building myself a small (1m or so) cyclotron, a betatron might be interesting to try, and fairly simple in operating principles, I can't afford to go to, and don't have the grades to go to uni, so I figure it will be interesting at least, to study myself. Has to be doable, afterall, the first cyclotron builders had to start from scratch and do all the legwork themselves.
Although I figure on trying it out on a benchtop-scale first (excluding shielding), before trying to scale up and poke around at higher energies (requiring a buggering big magnet) Still at the stage of doing my reading up on the technologies involved at the moment. Power supply using a van de graaf looks feasible, and amenable to home-brew construction.
