Bloodshed in Gaza: "It's a hell of a pinpoint operation"

Great thread!! You don't see any of this debate going on here in the states, not serious debating anyways.
Let's imagine the future, china will be the dominant world power. I can visualize china using it's growing influence with Iran, Syria, russia, n. Korea etc. in all kinds of scary ways against us in the west.
Israel will lose power and influence right along with the u.s since we are they're protectors, financiers, and armory. In the long run isreal cannot win, not with things continuing the way they are. The only thing isreal can do is wipe palistine off the map right now, while they still have the power/political means to do it. I gotta think that the isreali leadership sees this coming so they're making their move while they can.

Does world war seem that far away? Just watching the news, keeping in mind history, both religious and world history, it doesn't seem all that far off. Things are spinning out of control and there's no end in sight. Sure u may get a ceasefire or whatever but shit man we've seen this movie over and over again now. These are frightening times we live in...

deep, surely such an excellent post deserves more than "this"! ;)

When on the water (bear with me here), lets say around Playa D'en Bossa for instance, pedalling about in a pedalo or renting a kayak right here on the Thames. If you somehow stray into the path of a large, powered boat/ship the onus is on the powered vehicle to see you, sound a horn & move to avoid you. It's not up to you to paddle or pedalo desperately out of the way of some looming nautical monster, the onus is on them to act to avoid collision. It is you in your little pedaloayak who's at risk, not some big boat. This is about as much as I know about maritime traffic law so you yachtiing types (Owen?) do put me straight.

So assuming I'm relatively accurate with my maritime law knowledge, lets extrapolate this to the situation on the ground in Israel/Palestine, just for fun.

Israel has the power. I don't see how this could possibly be in dispute. Hamas are a pain in the arse, they're scaring alot of Israeli civilians & killing soldiers on the ground in Gaza whenever they get the chance. They fire their crude, random missiles over their border at civilians not just because it's the only way they are able to resist occupation in the West Bank & the blockade of their Strip , but also because they think/hope that if enough Israelis are scared/hurt/killed Israeli public opinion might turn against their goverment & push them to make a deal with HAMAS. They'd like to economically free the Strip, & ease the internationally illegal West Bank settlement expansions & ultimately gain a free state of their own. (Or share Israel/Palestine with the Jews, which seems a long, long way off but is I suspect the ultimate endgame).

The HAMAS millitary is clearly a well armed, well organsided, aggressive, Islamist-facist terrorist organisation with whom I have zero sympathy. They're actual government, infrastructure & social/medical systems, although obviously with a great deal to be deisred do funtion outide of wartime & despite the depravations brought by the Israeli economic blockade. The extremists who believe no Israeli has the right to live in Israel are fools, & they have to be dealt with, properly. I'm not squemish about ridding the world of these kinds, be they white Christians like Hitler or murderous black psychotics like Idi Amin, even Robert Mugabe for that matter. But this pin-point targetted assasination-from-the-air bullshit from Israel is sickening & utterly disproportionate to their own risk. Events where serious damage & actual, real harm is caused to Israeli civilians by Hamas rockets & other HAMAS actions is, without denying the personal tragedy of every violent loss, extremely rare but the ENORMOUS difference between the millitary strength of the opposing sides is rarely discussed in mainstream media, almost never by Israeli millitary spokesfolk. Belligerent, incitive ignorant idiot people like the Jeruslalem mayor who effectively suggested on CNN the other day that civilian losses in Gaza were accceptible if it kept HAMAS at bay for awhile & prevented the terrible fear (fear!) Israelis are suffering should be silenced. Children get blown in half, I've seen the poor kid, it was not faked, it was not "tele-fucking-genic". And it was not fucking propaganda unless the Israeli crap about their fear is propganda. It was an innocent kid blown in fucking half, eyes still open, face surprised... "But hey, hey, hey it's okay, collateral damge, we're really sorry, but maybe some Israelis won't be scared of a useless rocket, because of we did the right thing today."

So you got HAMAS really upsetting Israeli citizens, scaring them & spoiling they're summer holidays, which I in no way condone or anything, sounds awful, but they ain't exactly killing Israeli kids by the busload or flattening entire buildings with a single shell or missile, are they? Israel on the other hand, is quite happy to fire terribly innacurate incendiary & fragmentation tank shells into residential neighbourhoods telling us all about the terrorist tunnels or weapons stocks or whatever they have as an excuse for this cruel, indiscriminate insanity. They use drone attack missiles to blow their enemies to pieces in cars, cars moving down the street where any bystander could be caught in the explosion. They fire air-to-surface missiles & ground-to-ground missiles into SCHOOLS, because there's some ineffectual HAMAS rocket launcher in the alleyway next door hidden under a tree. Don't worry if 50 kids get wounded, 10 killed, that crappy rocket is now covered in leaves, we're all safe again. They are indiscriminantly killing & maiming women, children & damned near anyone else who gets in their way, reporters, paramedics etc.

Israel simply must stop indsiciminantly bombing, shelling & missiling Gaza in response to ineffectual rocket attacks that rarely harm or cause damage.. Why do they do it, if they know Palestinian innocents will be killed. Here's why - I was once told that an Israeli PM, Minister of Defence, or some famous old Israeli said after some terrorist attack by he PLO or something, that from now on Palestinians could expect to lose 100 of their own for every Israeli killed. In 2008 Gaza action cost 1300 Palestinian lives, & 13 Israel lives, 10 of them soldiers. I dread to think how this ones going to pan out if those ratios continue. The Israelis have lost more than 30 already, do the math :(

So, back to your pedalo in Ibiza, your Thames kayak. The way Israel is behaving in Gaza is like some cunt in a speed boat, zooming about deliberately smacking into kayakers & pedalo innocents, whilst simultaneously lobbing genades onto anyone on the beach who might have stopped to watch what exactly the fuck is going on, stopping occasionally to snipe at children & then, finally mounting the coastline & mowng down some last few bystanders for good measure. He's doing this, by the way, coz he's the only one with a speed boat & he thinks this is all HIS fucking water, & he wants to protect it from dangerous kayaks & pedalos.

So when you hear that Regev cunt or Libi Liberszhits, or any or these Zionist murders expressing their need to defend themselves, ask yourself what exactly they're defending themselves from, ineffectual HAMAS rockets & a gang of terrorists with big mouths, some Arab support & very little else. Israel is basically murdering Palestinians by the hundreds, for nothing.

Facist Islamic millitary organisations like ISIS, Al Qaeda, Taliban, Hezbollah, HAMAS are all jst as bad as the IDF imo, they just ain't got the tech & the US support the IDF has.

For anyone inclined to argue that the 3 Israeli murders followed by the burning to death of a Palestinian youth were the cause of the present aggression, before I just go right back to the installation of the Jewish state as a fuck up of monumental proportions I'd like to point out that before the Israeli kindnappins, two stone throwing Palestinian youths were shot dead on camera by Israelis.

I have the greatest respect for Jews & they're right to their homeland, but that land belongs to the Palestinians too & they deserve to be able to share it peacefully with each other & thw world should not give up trying to attain this unimaginable nirvana.

More than 110 people dead in the last 24 hours, apparently. The electricity all but cut off, more hospitals attacked.

Strategic targets only though, right?

Wow, I am amazed!

Russel brand can actually look like even MORE of a ginormous, suppurating minge if he shaves the fanny fur off his over-inflated bonce.

Fuck what he looks like, he speaks sense. you seen that Russell Brand vs Paxman interview?

Gaza / Ukraine has been at the forefront of every news-based website I've come across. Perhaps I'm reading the wrong papers, but even if that's the case, it's no secret to anybody with half a brain and access to any media whatsoever...

If a person can't see what's happening in Gaza and Ukraine, it's because they don't give a shit, or they choose to ignore it.

Its both. They dont give a shit so they choose to ignore it. Theres a very "its not gonna happen here" type of environment here in the u.s. Even the tards that think 9/11 was done by some cavemen have a similar look on things. That happens over there. You know in those crazy parts of the world.

Also there is constant fighting going on in that part of the world so people just assume and think that its nothing different. They are used to it

Oh yeah, no doubt. I mean, we have two generations who've grown up knowing nothing but conflict in 'that part of the world'. Not a straightforward conflict either.

No suprise here then, the DUP side with Israel http://www.newsletter.co.uk/news/re...aunches-dup-friends-of-israel-group-1-6114099

and a Sinn Fein councillior calls on the UN to shell Israel http://www.thejournal.ie/sinn-fein-shell-israel-1598898-Jul2014/

Some things never change, eh? :)

Seems the captured Israeli soldier is supposedly a cousin of the Israeli Defence Minister:

So at least they managed to keep to a ceasefire for two hours... :\
