What would you do with £100,000?

Would you rather buy an Aston Martin (or some other luxury sports car) or this:

RAF Harrier and Tornado jets auctioned with no reserve

Two ex-RAF jets put up for auction in Northamptonshire with no reserve price have gone to private buyers.

A 1976 Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR3 jump-jet has been bought by a man from Essex for £105,800.

A woman pilot who flew this type of aircraft bought the 1988 Panavia Tornado F3 for £36,800.

Silverstone Auctions, which sold the aircraft, did not name the buyers but described the sale as a "unique opportunity" to acquire "RAF history".

Forgetting about the hidden costs, that's a steal! Imagine the possibilities... turning up to work in a Harrier. One way to beat the rush hour traffic. :D

Apparently it is almost flight-worthy & even comes with a working ejector seat!

Can I buy the Aston, then sell it and use the money for travels and experiences instead? I suspect the running cost of the jet is a bit unmanageable. ;)
 
I would buy that and re-sell it or turn it into a business opportunity of some kind.

I don't think my provisional driver's license qualifies me to fly that.

Rent it out to tweens making their own music videos.
Donate it to the poor as a publicity stunt.
Charge people to sit in it and have their photo taken (target market: mid-life crisis office worker and children).

All of which don't require having to actually fly the machine!

People would definitely pay to have sex in this thing right? So I would buy it and rent it out to people wanting to have sex in it.*

*Sex sold separately.
 
I'd kidnap raas and dangle him from a rope from the bottom of it it whilst i fly it around
 
There are more Argentinians I'd want to bomb in that harrier than yardies on a street corner that I'd score drugs off while in an Aston Martin
 
I'd only get the harrier if I had the money to get the thing flying again, otherwise it's just an expensive lawn ornament.
 
I'd possibly buy another house, and get a £600-£1,000 bonus coming in from the tennants every month. Then i would save up for the luxury cars and whatnot. If i didnt get sidetracked by the goods on one of the tor sites. Never gonna happen anyway, its sometimes nice to dream about what you'd do with a shedload of money though.

They do in Australia. Might be a bit of a tight squeeze in a Harrier but that could also be seen as a bonus I'm sure.

Yup. Same as editing a post. Actually I had no idea the OP could change the title even if they got in quick but makes sense it would be the same as editing any other aspect within the time limit. Mods can change titles so if you want it changed just give me the new title here and your wish etc...

Part of me would want to buy a decent-sized boat and splurge the remainder on travels and adventures..

But then I would probably actually just buy a property as an investment and then use the rent proceeds to fund even more travels and adventures.
