I think there's a good risk of psychosis involved here... but your comment that about being an experienced stim user does throw things for a loop. Schizophrenia and stims of any kind sounds risky to me--not that it's impossible to manage that combination, but it certainly isn't safe for you to manage without a prescribing psychiatrist--however, I don't see why ethylphenidate would be any moreso prone to inducing psychosis than other stimulant. (Unlike, say, MDPV, which seems to bring out psychotic tendencies in just about everyone)
 
'burst' I'm told has been made illegal in the uk as of today! :( EDIT; that is the thing, like mephedrone you find something worth while and a stupid few mix it or take to much and spoil it for the rest of us. Gutted.
 
Tbh, I'm surprised it's taken so long. I feel like ethylphenidate has been around--and popular--for a very very long time now.

stims are used for negative symptions, its mostly individual tough, if he's on APS he should be fine on a low dose.

Corner shops and head shops shouldn't be selling this stuff because this is what happens, morons buy some shit take the whole pack and die (I don't know?). And wtf is "burst", maybe it was labeled this way or the newsrags making up new silly names for drugs nobody ever uses....

I tried EPH for the first time recently, and was disapointed. Tried it orally and IV, the only bit of euphoria was produced ,in my first couple hits. Oral doses of 25-50 mg, and IV doses ranging from 10-75 mg, all were reliably weak for me. Even after giving several hours in between redose, each hit seemed weak. Also, started to vape in a bubble, and the nasty sweet taste dissuaded me instantly.

I think there was too much norepinephrine activity for my liking. Just generally caused typical annoying stimulant side effects like sweatiness, anxiety, and vasoconstriction without any of the positive effects.

Read someone said there's just a feeling of general malaise, and I would have to agree. One upside is that, there were no very serious concerning side effects, and even after a bit of excessive use, there was no obscene paranoia.

I'll try not taking it for a week and then try again, overall it's mediocre as hell, not to mention you can't snort it (or at least shouldn't be if you don't want your nose to fall off).

I get very euphoric from Ethylphenidate, but I agree that it's MUCH cleaner than any other stims I've done before. I would compare the euphoria to that which I get from Adderall, only without the twitching and sweating.

I also take Metoprolol for chronic tachycardia, which I developed when I was 25 after a 5 month IV Foxy binge. Doctors have no idea whatsoever why this would of happened, but for the last 13 years, my sober, resting pulse without a Beta-Blocker is consistently around 140bpm. However, I've had every medical test known done to me, and none of them show anything wrong with my heart. My point in telling about this is that Metoprolol is an NE antagonist, so even when I take Methylphenidate I don't get a whole lot of physical stimulation symptoms, just the euphoria pretty much, so my perception of the effects of stims probably doesn't apply to many other people.

That being said, Ethylphenidate, which I just tried for the first time last week, is by far my new favorite stimulant! This is because not only do I find it extremely blissful, but I haven't run into any unpleasant side effects except minor, transient nausea, and I can actually fall asleep roughly 6 hours after my last dose, which I find impossible to do for quite a long time after the effects of other stims wear off.

If you get overwhelmed with anxiety on the come down and don't have benzos handy, try Valerian extract. It works just as well as benzos for anxiety and insomnia without causing intoxication, memory loss, or hangovers. Namaste!
 
Ethylphenidate definetly can quickly caused stim psychosis. I am an addict in the sense that I use any drug I have till it's gone and when I order a gram of this stuff and binge it in a day and don't sleep that night I already get audio hallucinations and visual blurriness and I literally see shit moving like I'm tripping on a psych. Usually this is after 5+ mgs etizolam to curb anxiety or half a litre or more of vodka, used for the same reason.

I've experienced these symptoms on multiple occasions and only ever with this drug. Not with half a ball coke nights, not with snorting 2 points of pure crystal meth shards with little to no tolerance within 30 min nights (no amph tolerance, just other stim tolerance) and not with my adderall experience or even my 1g+ experiences with crystal molly that later tested to be methylone (duh, 1g of real mdma wud completely fuck me up, potentially for monthS). Thank god I got a test kit.

But anyways, my point is this shit is very compulsive to redose and is the only stim ever to give me psychosis where I get visual and audio hallucinations.
 
Given that it's a pretty potent NDRI... i'm not suprised that it causes psychosis in overdose, or when you use it for 3 days w/o sleeping.
 
It looks like most people here use nasal dosing, or ROA's other than oral; when it comes to snorting it, that's out of the question for me.

So my question is, do any of y'all get any worthwhile effects out of orally dosing EPH, or is it a complete waste of time and material? Oral is the only ROA I'm willing to try with this substance, so if it's pointless I plan to avoid it all together.

I do get good effects orally. I generally mix 15mg ethylphenidate with 80mg caffeine and 6mg sunifiram in a capsule to good results--increased motivation, alertness, mood lift. It's not super dramatic at this dosage--but I don't think it's worth the come down when you take stronger doses.

Note that the comedown, for me, consists mostly of incredible boredom, amotivation, and tiredness, maybe some irritability. Not depression or anything. Just unpleasant if you've still got work to do.
 
^That's good to hear. I've had several grams laying around but I rarely touch the stuff as insufflation always leads to recreational binges, I've been curious about oral use for awhile now. I think I will eat a 30 mg rock before taking an ACT practice test tomorrow.

I think you should expect good results, depending on your stimulant tolerance. Afaik 30mg ethylphenidate is roughly equivalent to 15mg ritalin, although in my experience it's a bit more "buzzy" and less conducive to true productive focus. Still worthwhile IMO if you can control your dosage and stay under the amount that will start distracting you.

Tbh I don't know how people take ethylphenidate recreationally. It starts to give me chest tightness, heart pains, and vasoconstriction even from ~30-50mg oral. And the comedown seems exponentially worse with every dosage increase. Just doesn't seem worth it for fun unless you're planning on immediately knocking yourself out at the end of the night with benzos to sleep through the comedown.

Another thing to keep in mind is that ethylphenidate is extremely short acting... You might start coming down before you finish your test! I've actually taken to dissolving a small quantity in a beverage and sipping at it while working. Keeps me at an even level, rather than shooting up and down and switching from hyper focus to no focus.

Very clever!! A few months ago I was reading up on how to make your own time release pills. Drinking measured quanities of a drink laced with eph seems like a much more simple/effective way to go about things.

Gotta say my first trial with this was a little disappointing. I wasn't quite sure what to expect based on the mixed reviews here but figured I would research it since I loved drinking and railing 20mg of Ritalin a few years ago. I started with some Four Loko (don't hate! haha) and 20mg EPH insullfated over 30 min to test the waters and then redosed a couple more times within the next two hours. I did take 10mg of Valium early on to try and help with the uncomfortable part of the high. Not much euphoria was felt but it was a little reminiscent of Ritalin, just not nearly as rushy or speedy feeling. It made my heart beat fast and also before I would start talking, it felt like I had to take a deep breath before I could get my words out...

The comedown was god awful, I was jittery, anxious, and was only able to get a few hours of sleep. The anxiety during this comedown led to a feeling of complete despair and hopelessness and it lasted for a good portion of the next day. My last dose was around 9pm the night before.

Due to the terrible comedown (greater or equal to a Ritalin comedown) I am hesitant to test this again, although I do want to research it at higher initial dosing. I feel like adding a little more alcohol/or benzo into the mix would help ease the anxiety much more.

Lastly, I'd like to add that my muscles became very tense and during the comedown and through the next day. Not a great feeling...
 
If you people are shooting or snorting this stuff you're getting high wrong. Or at the very least, badly (if you're shooting it, then stupidly dangerously).

40mg plugged of the most pure looking crystal shit I've ever seen was like the most crazy DNRI experience I've had. Fuck all the pyrovalerone derivatives, this stuff for me is like shorter acting meth with a bit less of the euphoric kick. Just plug it or swallow it. I will say I got a bunk batch that not even 100's of mg did shit, but the first stuff I had 40 mg was fucking intense. I was smoking a cigarette and just sat there and it burnt out.

I could understand you having a terrible experience if anyone received the same stuff as I got in the second batch, it's supposed to be replaced real soon with different stuff, so time will tell.
 
Just a warning, I suffer from acid reflux and orally dosing ethylphenidate daily over the course of a week gave me esophagitis (inflammation of the esophagus). So don't presume just because you can't see any damage with your ROA that it isn't actually doing any damage!
