Yeah, I seem to have a nasty chesty cough and sore throat after last weekend. Festivals don't seem to be good for the immune system. :|
 
OTW has a valid point about the broadband. I'm outside a city and I still have 5mb. All future mods should have a minimum 5Mb connection in the blua.

You may be outside of a city, I am outside of civilisation itself. That's next door in that other country nearby I suspect.

Actually it has nothing to do with where I live. I have no intention of going into any further detail though so will leave it at that.

FWIW, every mod except me has a perfectly acceptable internet connection.

In related news, it's working a bit better now. There's always a massive slow-down in the early evenings. Kids coming home from school, folk getting back from work, sudden upturn in internet use clogging up the comparatively shitty system presumably.

I concur. I only went for a single day & was stone cold sober... still ended up feeling hungover. :sus:

Got to admit I'm one of the peasants whose computer freaks out at a few embeds. My laptop that is, not my actual computer but unfortunately I can't lug my desktop with me everytime I move between houses so I have to make do with this shitbox sometimes. Don't think I could handle living in an area with bad internet connection, I feel outside of civilisation when I'm not next to a city or large town so the real countryside would kill me.

Probably headed bedwards myself fairly soon actually. Not actually very tired but also am tired. If you know what I mean. Semi-tired. May try and watch a film or summat cos EADD is a bit of a deadzone and got a couple to watch.

Erm... Either The Congress or Antiviral. Couple of sci-fi things that Vurtual recommended in the fillums thread. I've never heard of 'em but the former sounds promising and the latter is by David Cronenberg's son which also sounds promising.

I'm unlikely to be much fun anyway. Drugless (including boozeless (which is a drink not a drug of course)) and not overly awake. Also not overly tired. Too long between posts to keep me alert here though hence thinking of a midnight matinee.

EADD used to be busy more or less every night years back - always people about to indulge in fukkedchat with around the clock. Dunno what happened to it. Actually I do - the massive flood of dirt cheap MDMA xtal and even more massive flooding of even cheaper ket went bye-bye, got replaced by meph (*shudders at the memories*) then that also went bye-bye and so did everybody else 8)

No idea really but did a quick flick through to check it was actually a film I'd acquired rather than summat less savoury and they were speaking English at that point (wasn't animated either - just got animated bits apparently).

Antiviral does not sound pants. It sounds... not overly mainstream. It's David Cronenberg's boy. Surely the man taught him something. Hope so anyway cos quite looking forward to that given I've found Cronenberg Snr's recent films a bit hit and miss compared to his glory days.

Having said that I'll probably go for The Congress tonight too cos I suspect it's a tad 'easier' than t'other one.

'Spiritual forums suck monkey dick' is rather tempting though I must admit... Will sleep on it and see if anybody outbids you between now and then. Alternatively one of the other mods may be feeling inspired to create thread title of joy between now and then too. Which will it be. Ooh the anticipation. Can't ya just feel it?
