Let me start off by saying that I took 1 mg of clonazepam yesterday at 4:00 pm, that was 23 hours ago. I have no tolerance to clonazepam or any benzodiazepine. This morning on an empty stomach at 1:20 pm, I was cleaning and I found an old container of cannabis from near the end of my smoking days. It was a tiny airtight container inside a ziploc bag, that inside two bigger ziploc bags, and it was still green, maybe a little dry. Since the container was airtight, and the temperature was cool, and inside three ziploc bags with the air pushed out, was it potentiated somehow? It is approximately 3 months old. I had smoked some of it around that time. (3 months ago) There is about half a gram left, I haven't smoked in 8 days, (that is what got me back into smoking) I ripped the nug into two pieces and packed it in my pipe. Since that is not much (between a 1/4th and 1/5th gram) I added some tobacco to give it flavor and to make the bowl bigger. The weed he gave me is G-13, (or so he says, he is my friend not a dealer, so he could have gotten lied to) when I smoked it three months, before I took 2 water-pipe hits of about 1/2 a gram. Made me extremely tired, relieved pain, dry mouth, dry eyes, my brains are mash potatoes etc. I was extremely couch-locked for the rest of the evening. Not really pleasant or unpleasant. Anyways, I took one weak hit of the "G-13" that has ground tobacco on it. Held in only for two seconds, smoke was extremely harsh but I didn't cough it up. I waited about 3 minutes and took a huge hit and the smoke was extremely harsh and sour. I held it in for around 5 seconds. I immediately felt like my body was very heavy, and my mind was clouded. I walked inside to clean up and put the cannabis away, and this is when it got really weird. My body started to turn to liquid, and my vision started to get very strange, and I felt like I couldn't stay standing. My vision became filled with what looked like TV static, (a white and black pattern that was moving very fast, and there were lots of what sounded like distant beeping noises) it got more intense and I tried to walk, (I was still standing when this happened) and I had a complete loss of balance and I stumbled and fell around the room hitting various things. My face to to tingle and it felt hot and freezing at the same time. The top of my head felt really warm. I managed to make it to my couch where I laid down for 5 minutes or so. My vision was normal, but was extremely bright like a sun glare. I could see my surroundings, at that same moment I opened my eyes and my vision was completely normal. That freaked me out because I swear my eyes were open. I turned on the TV and watched a sit-com and felt semi-normal. I felt slowed down, and had a terrible reaction times. I ate a nutri-grain bar and a cookie and it tasted strange, the texture was different and the flavor was decreased. I had some water watched more TV and went on my computer to write this. (Around an hour passed, it felt like minutes) I feel completely normal now, except for my dry mouth is still here. What the hell happened? Was it more potentiate because it was left? Did my clonazepam dose the day before affect me? Anything you guys know?

I know valium is known for poor reactions with weed, it's contraindicated, perhaps k-pin is too?

It is approximately 3 months old

That's not excessively old I don't think, and no I dont think it would have made it any more potent than it initially was, maybe less so. Just my guesses tho.

it depends on the conditions in which it was harvested, cured and kept but it will increase in potency up to a certain point before it starts to decay and decline. or so i've heard

Yeah true.

It sounds like your body might have been down or low on it's normal levels (whatever the word is, cant think of it right now) I have had similar episodes over the yrs. A bit scary at the time.

Yeah I know i've had that before too.

ps) you might wont to delete the other thread on this same topic you made, you have 2 of them going.

:)

This is what benzos do. They decrease anxiety and klonopin has a long half life so since you had 0 tolerance you were probably still feeling it's anxiolytic effects and sedation. If I pop 1 or 2 valium today I'd feel it tomorrow. Benzos go great with weed but will couch lock the shit out of you.

Weed's effects are also very intense with a lowered tolerance and can mimic a psychedelic trip. Not the visuals but you catch my drift..

Weed naturally decarboxylates over time, which can (but doesn't always) make it a stronger smoke. It does degrade after some time, but 3 months isn't long at all.

Your experience sounds like normal weed effects mixed with a head rush, possibly from a combination of standing too quickly, low BP, and oxygen deprivation (from holding the smoke in). I've had similar experiences.

clonazapam has a long half life of 18-50 hours so you would still have a considerable amount still in your system, and the potentiateing affects cannabis and benzos have
combined with that short 8 day break i would say this could explain you strong high

old weed rocks! i found a little baby nug not even a bowl worth of sour d ( fruity pheno ) in my drawer tht must of dropped in there and it was dry n barely any smell but wow it was waaayy better than when i originaly got it. most ppl say old weed isnt as good as when it was picked well i beg to differ lol

No, I take Klonopin and it doesn't have bad interactions with weed.

I'm not really sure why Valium would either.

There really aren't any drugs known for having bad interactions with weed that I've ever heard of.

I've heard that Prozac supposedly interacts with weed, although it's not a dangerous combination by any means. I'm not sure if I buy it, though, since I've been on Prozac and I know plenty of people who have been on it and I've never seen evidence of increased irritability or anything.

I just had an odd experience with sinicuichi where I couldn't feel any effects from weed for about 24 hours. Not sure if you'd call that an interaction but it was quite strange.

Benzos definitely do not interact. Anything with the potential to be sedating is going to "interact" according to these kinds of websites, but weed and benzos is no more dangerous than smoking weed when you're already tired.

I also take Prozac.

In fact, I've never ONCE been high without Prozac in my system, and there are no interactions that I've ever seen at all.

What supossed "issues" have you heard the combo creates?

Irritability, anxiety, excitability. Personally I've never seen such a thing.

Well, I have anxiety anyway, but I can't imagine it would be any better or worse through the Prozac + Cannabis combo.

I wouldn't know like I said, since I've always been on one when on the other.

Over time there's degradation of the cannabinoids and the amount of CBN present in the weed increases, some say that CBN is responsible for the more "fucked up" effects from weed...

Benzos and weed are potentially a bad combination for the impairment of inhibitions, motor skills, judgement they cause - and the chance that you may do a bunch of stupid, dangerous things you don't even remember the next day.

The increased risk of running into some kind of trouble is worth considering - and I didnt need "one of these websites" to learn that.

It could be a perfectly reasonable combo; chilled night in and not a care in the world, or you could black out and end up having caused a bunch of carnage or grief.

I would definitely say this about the alcohol + benzos combo, but it also applies to cannabis.
In my experience anyway. Bad.

Bad judgment isn't from a drug interaction, though. A drug interaction is when mixing two or more drugs causes a negative medical situation or potentiates/amplifies the effects of one or more of those drugs. Marijuana doesn't fit that definition with benzos. Combining the two doesn't affect how either drug works.

You don't smoking cannabis has any impact on the effects of benzodiazepines at all?
Or vice-versa?
