Lemsip addiction?

Someone mentioned phenylephrine. I'm sure that couldn't be it - and if so it would probably be placebo. I seem to remember reading somewhere that phenylephrine basically sucks as a medication and most benefits would be from placebo. The pseudoephedrine preparations would have been far more effective.

EDIT: Although I still can't imagine someone even getting a pseudoephedrine addiction - I suppose it's possible but highly unlikely.

I think its a combination of placebo and hypochondria tbh, i cant imagine its just for the flavour - lemsip are horrible!

I don't if the version we have here still has pseudo-ephedrine, but I remember getting stimulant effects from one of those things, not enjoyable, bit like too much coffee.

What are the active ingredients to this one?

Is lemsip the one that you make drinks with?

In my younger, very stupid days I found out about pseudo-ephedrine.. (actually it may have been straight up ephedrine).. I took them on a couple of occasions.. Was definitely more of a buzz than coffee but came hand in hand with this nasty, nasty feeling (probably due to dose)..

The last time i took them.. I honestly don't know why I did it.. I took far too many.. Felt extremely sick and like I was going to have a heart attack..
