Wanted: Two Mods for EADD, New or Slightly Used Acceptable

Nowt wrong with having an opinion Owen, strong ones at that... kind of essential really ;)

If it isnt for you then.... well.... it isnt I guess. :)

Im half tempted to throw my name in just to give it a go, see if I could do it and for the experience, dunno if I've the time or enthusiasm for it... Im not to hot on all the alphabet drugs you crazy kids are taking either, im only up to speed on the staple drug groups :)

Try it. You could always learn about the other drugs by researching them - and asking questions. I asked about legal highs, though it p***d a few people off, found out what they were. Anyway I don't think moderating is all about knowing all the drugs it's about keeping the sub-forum in order, dealing with reports, liaising with members and what-not I'd imagine. I've not been one so can't say for definite that's just my observation of it.

If you don't apply you'll never be able to give it a try...

I would second that, and throw my hat in the ring for you dan. It's nice to keep a gender balance though.

You both seem quite level headed and down to earth and in somewhere like EADD that's what's needed. You don't need any specialist knowledge (although being fairly experienced with drugs would seem to be something of a prerequisite) you just gotta be personable and prepared to put up with the bullshit.

It's definitely not for me 700% I have life circumstances that have to come first at the moment and as I say my heart is given to recovery support if I was ever to be asked to mod again. Somewhere did a number of months back, I can't remember where it was but I definitely made the right decision in saying it wasn't for me at the moment, I wouldn't be a good one right now.

Very sensible, Owen. Personally, when the time's right, I think you'll make an ace moderator for Recovery Support. I've seen you in there helping and giving support / advice. A lot of them seem to listen to you, and to relate to you. A few months ago, when you started typing on BL again you were quite arrogant and a know-it-all but you've toned that down now and seem level-headed, knowledgeable, friendly, outgoing and supportive. I also find the way you came off suboxone, somewhat of an inspiration - I assume you've a strong mind-set and are fit to have done it. That in itself will inspire and help others.

RCs are RCs mate. Informed guess work is often the best anyone can hope for, esp with the really new ones. If you find you need to dish out some HR "start small, allergy test, buy scales" will cover a lot of questions.
 
Frankly high level drug knowledge is not really important for a mixed forum like this, you would hope that between the rest of the members something approaching the right answer could be cobbled together.

Like boyo above says as well, with most RCs the only answer to anything but the very most basic of questions is 'no one knows' anyway.

I like bearlove too but again that's another geezer, would be nice to have one male and one female ideally.

Can't always have everything though, have to see what the powers that be think.
 
We have a transexual anyway as far as I'm aware helping with the diversity already, so he can probably just stick to being a dude if he wants.=D

give it a go mate, it's not all about the drugs in EADD. you dont have to sign a contract and if it's not for you then step down.
 
Signing a contract?

I don't remember doing that, it was a long time ago I modded though. I'd hope the forum would be able to gather trusted enough members to not need to bother with that.

Please feel free to nominate, nominate, nominate, any housemate who hopefully isnt going to leave on day eight. It may serve to encourage such members just enough to give it a bash. A broad mix would be ideal, encomapssing males and females from their late teens, to people in their 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s. I'm wondering about Kronos who has a very wise and experienced head on his shoulders for a 15 year old old (:p ;)) where the fuck has he and yoyo got to anyway :? BabylonBoy would be excellent, but he's also been AWOL for ages. :?

Maybe someone international like Lurching, should he fancy a crack at the whip. Raas 2012 would certainly be interesting to say the least, but he might need to reign in his 'controversioal/ironic humour' a bit. PTCH, bet you never thought you'd be nominated, but i nominate you. Maxxsi too would be a good choice. Chatative, Curious 24 could become slightly less of a curious mystery to us all, plenty of folk to chose from whoever is willing to throw their hat into the ring. Dunno about prolific posters toning it down turning the place into a ghost town, things seemed to pick up markedly when i stopped posting so much, though i dont think that had anything to do with me, there just seemed to happen to be a lot of people with a lot to say whilst i was keeping away a bit.
