Oral Morphine

I'm going to be buying a bottle of oral morphine today, and I have never tried any opiates before, so I was wondering what a good starting dosage would be. Also I'm most likely not going to go the IV route, so I will probably be using a dropper, if that matters. Thanks for any input.

It's roughly equipotent to hydrocodone, for the sake discretion I can't suggest starting with more than 10-15mg.
 
Start low and work it up, remember that opiate does not produce intense euphoria so don't take a huge dose thinking that you have not took enough. What i get from opioids is more well-being than euphoria. So yeah 10-15 mg is a good start. I would recommend not getting over 30 mg the first time
 
Start with 15mg orally and see how that feels. I've always found oral morphine to take a little while to peak, but it also lasts long so don't take more that quickly if you're not where you want to be 30 minutes after taking it.

I took a drop from an eye dropper (not sure of the dosage) almost an hour ago, and other than feeling a little bit calmer and tireder than normal, I feel basically the same. Should I take more next time? Also is there anyway that I can experience euphoria from this, because that's kind of what I wanted in the first place.
 
It is VERY dangerous to be unsure of the dosage, especially without any tolerance, and the fact that it is a potent morphine formulation. Get a proper oral syringe - you can ask for them behind most pharmacy counters, and they will provide you with one. I am guessing a 1 ml oral syringe would be best, because oral morphine is almost always very potent. Be careful, and know what you are doing.
 
oral morphine is great, people whine and moan it sucks cause of its low BA of30%, and im sure they never even tried it and are dick riding other peoples posts. its great

YES, I concur. They're just looking for an excuse to shoot up or shove something up their ass.
 
Im on 60mg oral morphine a day. Mine is the er variety. It is prescribed in 15mg tablets. While I do not get euphoria with normal dosing I still get a good feeling of contentment from dose to dose. Been at 60mgs for around a year I believe, and along with the contentment I get solid pain relief. This makes me believe that regardless of the bioavailability of oral morphine, it can still hit hard, even an old pillhead like me.

I think the window for euphoria from morphine is narrow, with sedation quick to follow, so don't be surprised if you wake up on the couch after a nice little nap!
 
Oral morphine is basically equipotent with hydrocodone so I would start with 15 mg. Morphine can make you a bit itchy, if it is a problem take one OTC allegra (180 mg) about 3 h beforehand.
 
15 mg are enough to feel great if you have no tolerance. Don´t mess with morphine and dont mix it with other downers till you have some experience...just my guess...
Enjoy the experience, and be careful with opiates, it´s very easy to get hooked on them :) it´s better to take in "special ocasions" but it´s hard to hold the control when they´re available, lol...

The window is very narrow with morphone taken orally from euphoria to sedation........15 MG's starting out is a great starting point.
 
I have been on morphine SR since about 2006 for severe pain and the only thing i have found better for pain is fentanyl patches. But my insurance doesn't cover patches so morphine it is plus i find morphine to be very euphoric much unlike fentanyl. I have IVed dilaudid, morphine and Demerol (meperidine aka Pethidine) and i still love oral morphine even though i have been a off and on again IV drug user for about 4 years now. It lasts a long ass time and is pretty sedating compared to most other opiates so i like it quit abit. The thing i like about the suspended release pills is that they will keep you high for basically have the day.

The thing about morphine though is that it can be a rather harsh opiate compared to say oxycodone, dilaudid or fentanyl in terms of side effects. It's one of the worst for causing nausea and itching for sure so i wouldn't recommend taking anymore then 15mg's of instant release oral morphine your first time. Better to take more after then spend the whole night spewing your guts up.
 
I agree with the first few comments, start around 10mgs.
Personally I find morphine to be a waste of money. In pill form, swim can take 90mgs of morphine IR and not feel a thing, but 75mgs of hydrocodone will give her a slight buzz. However morphine is the drug of choice for Swim's dad (IV user) but everyone is different. Be safe and have a good time.
