Opioids how long is too long/ opiate constipation?

OH YEA!! Ive had to do a few enemas before..LOL..Has to be mineral oil enemas though, or else it doesnt do any good imo.

That is one thing I hate about opiate use, Ive went 7-8 days before with no bowel movement, but Im not usually eating alot either during his use periods, but if I go this long, my stomach starts hurting bad , hurts to sit down, walk, etc!!

Not be overly nasty, but once when I first tried using lope to deal with w/ds, by the 4th day, I felt like a fucking brick in stomach, I had alot of problems getting it out, not so much that I could not move my bowel muscles, but it was SO large and hard, it barely fit thru the 'opening'...lol That was rough, had to sit on toilet, trying and trying, it hurt pretty bad!

But once it came out, I felt SOOOO much better, that feeling was almost as good a dope HA HA HA
 
A responsible opiate user should always be one step ahead of the impending and unremitting doom of constipation. Tiz rough...and dangerous, an un loved gut. First time I recall having a real intense intestinal issue: I met my family at a mall, Christmas season. Fun. Well, I was very aware of the building bricks going on in my ever so distended abdomen. It did hit me- I tried to go...it sucks when you know you've all dat crap in ya &nothing be moving. Now, I HATE public restrooms! Yuk!!!!! I tried so hard to no avail. I actually passed out from the pain. My sister found me..needless to say my shopping trip was over-I got some remedies on the way home&since then, I stay on top of my shit!
 
Jeez that's crazy emme I know I have to do the same thing I take miralax daily and really think about every little thing I put in my body its making me pretty anxious though like I barley eat cause im in fear of not being able to pass it so it takes a toll on me and im only on 1mg suboxone a day I cant imagine people on 24 or 32mgs but then again I have irritable bowel so it makes it all worse. us opiate addicts should stay on top of it, unfortunately many don't cause well most opiate addicts are generally not responsible people.

Fuck me does this actually happen to people in the states man that's fucked he was screaming in pain and they told him to shut up if the family actually stood up for the kid and reported it everyone involved would lose their jobs. If that happened where im from the news would be down there filming the addict suffering and people would be outraged then the addict would be transferred to another hospital and given enough morphine to bring down a horse. Fuck I cant imagine being treated like that by nurses and doctors no matter how much pain I was in I would report them all.

DAMN, that is fucking crazy, I can honestly say, I will NEVER tell a medical professional Im a user, even if I do ever quit! I didnt see it mentioned, but I wonder what state this happened in?
 
I highly reccomend Milk of Magnesia which i believe is still available in the USA. Take the maximum reccommended constpation dose before you go to bed, it will work its MAGIC overnight, or if you are really severely backed up it may take 2 nights. If still no joy get yourself to the hospital. I had the same probelm with poppy pods, i think i went 10 days with no movement atall and started to get worried. My intenstines felt like they had a compacted iron rod going from my stomach to my arsehole. Before the M of M I was straining and straining and never produced more than an acorn sized dump, though it felt like an enormous rock hard asteroid or something on the way out.

You can also take a daily spoon of mineral oil. It´s prescribed even for children and it helps a lot. Also remember to drink a lot of fluids, water, juice, everything will help you, except Sodas and sugary items.
 
I had a blockage so bad one time I started showing signs of Encopresis (basically your body produces diarrea to get around it but since the blockage cause little to no ability to push out stool it just comes whether you are on a date or on the toilet. Luckly I started showing signs at my home and hit the bathroom just in time. Thats when I finally realized this can be serious and I need to take fiber supplements, drink a shitload of water everyday, and also take a stool softener everyday. Also I would recomment just in case to keep enemas in the house. I had such bad constipation on another occasion that I was getting terrible gas that baraely could pass and that night I got a huge pocket of gas that I couldnt pass that caused the most incredible pain I ever experienced and luckly I had an enema which saved me from this unbearable pain. Literally shit 5 times about 5 min apart and each one was like a shit I would take weekly. If I didnt have the enema or if it didnt work I would of called 911 right away it was so bad.
 
this problem started for me in hospital when I was first put on opiates, Docusate was given and worked ok, over the last year good old Metamucil before bed works fine for me. You don't want to go more than 48 hours with going, thats why in hospital they check if you have gone daily. I would not panic until the 3rd day. I have had this discusstion with an internal medicine dr on a few occasions. if you leave it too long you can do some real damage, you DONT want to use exlax for this type of constipation. Docusate will work with lots of water but can take some time, 24 plus hours. If its been more than 4 days go see a dr.
 
It doesnt sound like youre bad enough for it to cause serious problems. I have plenty of experience with opiate constipation. Actually dying from bowel impactation is pretty damn rare. I would try to take care of it though because eventually its going to come out and its gona hurt. Ive had a few freakishly siZed shits in my day and it hurts pretty bad trying to crap out such a huge turd lol


Ive had a similar experience vicapro but i didnt have an enema. Dude. Unbearable pain probably some of the worst ive ever experienced. I was literally crippled on the floor with brutal stomach pain. I could tell i had diahrea in my gut. But it was blocked by a solid mass and couldnt pass. I thought i was going to die man it was brutal but eventually after like 3 hours of excruciating waves of abdominal pain i was able to shit. Ofc it wasnt over immediately i had to go back to the toilet like 4 times again after the initial one. Never again.....

Word. God fuckin damnit I had a long post typed about that thread and Doctor's in general but I lost it when I was logged out for inactivity ffs. I'd guess that guy was somewhere rural - Dr's tend to be more ignorant dependant on certain geography.

I also was blown the fuck away by that thread. I didn't even get treated a fraction as badly as that poor fella in my hospital stays/surgeries (broken bones from shenanigans, bad breaks - audable snaps that make me cringe now reminiscing) and I'm in a fkin developing country!

blockages can also fuck with your peeing, it will press agaist your blatter, when you have a bad blockage (which I have had a few over the last year) it can make peeing hurt as well. I saw a dr in hospital about it and its real important you keep them pipes clean while doing opiates.
