Synergy of opiates and tobacco

When I do some dope or kratom, I find that I very much enjoy having a cigarette right afterwards, and almost "completes the high". I have done my opiates before and thought "oh man, I'm not high... just normal... damn this tolerance!" and then I will have a smoke, and then I will feel very high, and it is an opiatey high, it is different than smoking a cigarette sober. Does anyone else notice this? Have I just become addicted to both and that's it?
 
Definitely. Weed has that too for me, but even stronger. Although weed changes the nature of the high somewhat while tobacco does not.
 
Not having a cig will ruin my opi high.. I'll scrounge around in the ashtray for suitable butts if I run out of smokes before getting high... lol
 
^I'm not sure, so don't quote me on this. But I seem to remember that nicotine actually potentiates H and some other opiates/oids; that means that it's not a synergy at work (like weed) but an actual potentiation. Which means basically the amount of active heroin (or demethylated morphine) in your system goes up by smoking a cigarette. I competely forgot how this potentiation works, so I'll leave that question unanswered for the more educated souls. :)
 
I find tobacco has a synergy with more or less all drugs, except maybe psychedelics and dissociatives. It's like a spice that adds a little bit of extra flavor to your opiates, or your booze, or your benzos, or your speed, etc.

Smoking weed is good on opiates, but if you smoke too much it overpowers and ruins the opiate high IMO.

As for tobacco or nicotine, I'd guess that it's the whole downer combining with a stimulant that creates such great effects.

And nicotine is a powerful fast acting stimulant.
 
I won't smoke cigs unless I have a full agonist. I definitely feel they add something to the high and cigarettes while sober just don't appeal to me.
 
I love this combo. I did some Kratom a few hours ago and I desperately was craving a cigarette, kinda ruined my buzz not having my own smokes, my pouch had just run out yesterday, and i was out in the canyon with not much money.

Tbh I think cigs basically go great with anything, but opiates and alcohol especially. Something about those euphoric downers just go so well with nicotine.
 
I do agree Bigfanofthemdrugs, cigs do go well with euphoric downers, and as you said, they pretty much go with everything! In college I remember using the phrase "Iron lungs" to describe the feeling that you got from taking Ecstasy (mdma/mda), LSD or mushrooms. Upon taking any of the previously mentioned drugs, one had "iron lungs" where you really don't feel the cigarette smoke at all and can take massive drags. It's almost like breathing air. You're just completely numb to the cig smoke. Oh boy do your lungs feel the damage the next day though. With "iron lungs" you don't feel the smoke going in, but you feel the CNS effect of the nicotine.

As I mentioned before, with Ketamine, I remember that I wished I could feel the nicotine from a cigarette but I found that the K actually disconnected me from even that, and hence that's why I said cigs go with everything BUT ketamine. Man, I want some K, I haven't done any in like 5 years.
 
I think most drugs synergise with tobacco, stimulants, empathogens, psychedelics, alcohol, opiates - of those though opiates probably go the best with them, something about that feel.

I think it's the lesser talked about small amount of MAO-inhibitor activity produced by tobacco, since e-cigs containing only the nicotine don't have the same synergy for me.
 
I LITTERLY need a cig after a shotl I litterly drive around every gas station in the hood till somone bums me one.

If im withdrawing what so ever tho cigs are litterly the last thing on my mind they sound awful and if someone is smoking around me he smell almost makes me puke.
