I was doing 20-30 bags of heroin a day for a long time, high quality Jersey diesel best in the U.S.A.. I'm prescribed subutex, no amount of buprenorphine would make me feel ok for a while. It'd take days to a week to feel normal again after a HEAVY relapse. I kept getting cravings and going back because I wasn't feeling well.

I switched back to subs today and was feeling really shitty, I waited 24hrs after my last dose of heroin and took 20mg of subutex over the course of the day. Then I took 10mg of valium and I feel 110%. I'm going to taper of the valium until I fully adjust back to the subs.

Really feeling like this is going to work. I'll let you guys know if I relapse on heroin in the next week or so.
 
Good for you I am on sub's too they are strong pills 12mgs was all it took for me to come off a 4 gram a day China white habit.

I was on and off opiates for about 15 years, totally hardcore addicted for the last three years, taking upwards 300mg of oxycodone daily (at times that equivalent in oxymorphone) and stopped about a 15 months ago. I absolutely LOVE suboxone plus benzo!!!....I only take like 0.5 to 0.75mg of klonopin a day, low dose just like you said....and about two 8mg strips of suboxone, sometimes 2.5 or 3 on the weekends.... and I feel pretty damn great all the time. I'm concerned that it's equally as addictive, but other than that it's pretty much a life saver.
 
Definitely still addictive. Withdrawals last even longer from each of those substances. But HEY sounds like y'all are functioning so that's great. Get a doctor to taper you off when you feel like it's the time. :)
 
What is benzo withdrawal like? I have been on it for about 2 years, ALWAYS small doses like previously mentioned, but definitely daily use the whole time. I've never had a problem with it or took for extended periods before that, so never felt the affects like I have with opiates many times over. Is it similar to opiate withdrawal? Easier, harder, or just different altogether?

Altogether different. The thing about benzo WD(and all GABAergic WD) is that it's generally not as miserable as opioid WD, however, a serious benzo dependence is DEADLY, unlike opioid WD.

If you're using less than 1mg clonazepam a day, your better off, though. Clonazepam is my BOC, and, although low dose WD is still fucking terrible, it isn't deadly, unless you had epilepsy to begin with.
 
I don't know... my friend has no history of epilepsy and he seized out trying to go through benzo withdrawal... in a wheel chair now. Very serious, long term addiction. It may not be as terrible, but its all pretty relative, and its dangerous.
 
Wow I bet you still probably when thru a little withdrawals, right? I get China white here too (not 100% sure if it's China white, it's white though lol). I only do about half a gram in a day (25 bags) but the average heroin from Jersey is about 50% pure up to 95% pure. Most other states heroin is only about 15% pure. Jersey is a hub so it comes here the best and then it's cut by assholes.
 
I'm feeling a lot better. The valium really helps. Took another 10mg tonight and smoked some weed. I was feeling uncomfortable, now I feel great. Tomorrow night I plan on taking 5mg. The craving are very down too, I have a brick (50 bags) bags at home and I haven't been too tempted by it. And when I do get a craving I take a subutex so the diesel won't do anything at all for at least 24hrs. Buprenorphine completely blocks almost all opiates for 24-36hrs or more so I'd have a lot of time to change my mind & keep taking subs.
 
Benzo's usually help with any kind of opiate WD....


If you're being prescribed suboxone most places frown on benzo use. Some places drug test quite often. I get tested once a week and am not supposed to have any benzo's in my urine.
 
20mgs of bupremorphine is a shit ton, the maximum potency of suboxone is around 8-12mg (sublingual) IME; taking more than that only extends the duration and does not actually increase the high. Also if you stick to 2mg and below the experience is much more pleasant and feels more like a full agonist. I was usin usually around a gram of heroin a day and I could get by with 1mg IV a day

The first few days after switching on to sub I needed a lot more than normal. I definitely felt a difference between 8 and 16mg. If you're taking it to get high then it's only good if you don't have much of a tolerance and take small doses.

After switching it takes at least a few days to get down to a lower dose.

^very true carl the landrover stevens, and doctors usually prescribe hefty amounts of subs because higher doses are more effective at blocking full-agonists
 
Damn I relapesd. I accidentally dosed myself with an unknown amount of 25B-NBOMe and got scared and couldn't get valium or another benzo in time. Plus the cravings where bothering me too.
 
You really should talk to your doctor about this. Maybe the amount of subs you are taking for each dose is not quite enough. Plus, doing dope when you're on subs is pretty much a waste unless you have a ridiculous bank account to compensate.

Even though he relapsed he seems like he'd be closer to stabilizing on sub than he was before. Guess it matters how quickly he rebounds from that relapse.
 
Ya, 2mg of xanax/klonopin work wonders for cravings, bupe alone just doesn't cover it for me...sometimes I go a little overboard with the benzos though, but it's mostly to do with the fact I don't have a script so have to be careful about drug test, so when I'm able to use them, I sure as hell do. Going to ask my doc next vist about it even though I've veen there about 10 months by my next appointment...Gabapentin works well also.
 
Was that a typo or were you really taking TWENTY to THIRTY bags a day!? holy fuck man how did you even afford that kind of habit if you don't mind me asking!?
