Buying codeine pills with no prescription is illegal, as is buying anything else that requires a script. Hence the popularity of benzos like etizolam, diclazepam, etc and RCs in general.

Codeine is a class B, schedule 2 drug. If prepared for injection it becomes a class A substance. It is illegal to possess without prescription or to supply or produce without a licence.

Illegal possession carries a maximum sentence of 5 years’ imprisonment and a fine. Trafficking offences carry a maximum sentence of 14 years’ imprisonment and a fine.

You were purchasing from international online pharmacies so could have been charged with trafficking and spent 14 years in jail.

Are they not illegal? Codeine isn't illegal in this country. So of course I bought it... And I took the 60mg packets to the doctor he never said anything about them being illegal

Codeine is legal without prescription up to 8mg/500. Anything else higher than that or pure codeine tabs require one and so are illegal. The linctus is very rarely available OTC but only contains the equivalent of about two packs of 8/500. The doctor is unlikely to mention it as it's not really within their remit. They're there to help you with your addiction not tell you all about the legality of drugs.

Doesn't affect me, fuck everyone else. Great attitude 8(
]That's not fair to her. We all have up times and down times and as an addict everyone on here should know that. We're all selfish when we're high, that's one of the negatives of being an addict but it doesn't reflect what kind of person someone is just because at one point they were feeling like that(though I don't think that's what she meant anyway). My point is why argue amongst ourselves?

Right. Here. Few things

Codeine is illegal in the UK assuming it fulfils certain conditions.
All this back and forth drama between people is doing my fucking head in. Can we not just talk about something, anything, without it turning into Gibberings vs. Evey? If the drama and baiting/taking the bait keeps on there'll be infractions and warnings and all that great stuff because you've all had time to read the rules Shambles kindly posted. And has been posted many times. And which I am not posting again cos it's at the top of the page and it's a bloody sticky.

I'm pretty sure 99% of people on this forum do not want to argue. Most users have probably got on someone else's nerves at some stage and as long as it's only the odd occasion I'd imagine most are mature enough to just let it slide and forget about it. Prolonged ignorance and irritating behaviour is always going to have people speaking out eventually. Once you reach that tipping point it's not an easy or quick task to recover from.
