For what it's worth, I actually find that psychedelics have a reverse tolerance for me in many ways. Fractals and the like get a little weaker for me the more often I trip, but the psychological effects and dream-like hallucinations tend to become more intense. It gets to the point where I can take one dose of LSD at the beginning of a streak and see mostly patterns and distortions, and take the same dose much further down the line and see mostly entities and animals and insects and the like. I really don't mind it at all, and it seems to unwind disproportionately with a break. That is to say that the fractals return more than the mental and dream effects fade away.
 
ya, the last trip I had on my streak of trips that was like 18 months long was mainly characterized by thoughts like, "is this it? have I finally taken the last unresearched chemical that makes me go entirely psychotic?" then I nearly had a hypertensive crisis after drinking a red bull. Cramps formed in my foot that would shoot up my whole leg and make me basically unable to use it so I took my shoe off to make sure circulation was better. I was at a "rave" club seeing a group I didn't care for so it was just an all around shitty experience. this was on 5-meo-DIPT. maybe it would have been better on a chemical I was more experienced with such as 2c-b but I've gotten pretty much everything that anyone is going to get out of that chemical lol, it's basically checked off the list until I try sass ;).
 
^ That's a bit unnerving, I'd considering Foxy to probably be one of the best psychedelics for a club... except for of course 2C-B. (LOL, didn't even read that last sentence about the Beez until I typed that)


I really need a good solid trip/roll soon, just need some good old fashioned euphoric contemplation

I've found that even small res hits off my base pipe are enough to effect my outlook on humanity. Too bad it got stepped on :\ I need a new one. maybe i'll build a machine doe
 
Honestly, 9 out of 10 trip reports make me want to stay the hell away from 5-MeO-DiPT. From what all I can tell, by all accounts it sounds extremely toxic for a tryptamine. That story is just another one added to a long list....
 
That seems very odd to me, I would call you one of the "lucky" ones if it weren't for that last bit.... Most tryptamines are the most benign things in the world to me. It barely even feels like I'm on a drug when I take them. Most reports I've read of 5-MeO-DiPT and people I've talked to about it have described a lot of body load, even when they enjoy the experience. That alone though wouldn't turn me off to it though nearly as much as the fact that it's one of the only tryptamine psychedelics in existence as far as I know to ever have killed someone on its own, and more than once.

Interesting. Do you think that maybe a lack of sleep (due to residual trip stimulation) could be a factor in that? I guess there's way too many variables to say for sure
 
Not at all. I'm talking about like once or twice a week, and I get a lot of good sleep in between those. I think it's just that tripping more often makes it easier for my mind to dive deeper into familiar aspects of the psychedelic experience, which is also I feel why it never totally goes away even with long breaks. I've found that for me at least the psychedelic experience is just one never ending journey, and all tripping more often does is take you further down the rabbit hole more easily. I tend to think of it in the sense that fractals and the like are just basic visual effects which of course gain tolerance, but the real treasure in tripping is the way that psychedelics disinhibit my imagination and allow it to break through into my reality. Because imagination never stops building upon itself from the moment you're born until the moment you die, my trips don't either. The more I practice to control my unleashed imagination, the more I can get out of it, you know?

"body load" isn't necessarily unenjoyable though. With Foxy it's actually very euphoric and somewhat empathogenic. I've had MUCH more uncomfortable experiences with shrooms and 4-AcO-DMT. I suppose it would depend on the setting quite a bit though, I could see the body aspect of the trip could interfere with the way some people like to trip but I found it to be a very happy and enjoyable drug.


There was once where I snorted like 10mg though.. went to the bathroom and tried to blow it all out after a few minutes, got rid of the few extra MGs that would have been obviously too much and was left with a very comfortable psychedelia that didn't interfere with my ability to socialize or deal with complicated tasks too much
 
Well, when I use the term body load, what I mean is that they described uncomfortable effects to me. I only personally ever use it in the negative, with body high being the positive. I have heard of good body highs with it too, but usually not without some side effects in the mix too, or things like racing heart (a major turn off for me). I've never gotten even the slightest bit of discomfort or physical focus with mushrooms, despite strong euphoria. I did get a little but of nausea the second time I did 4-AcO-DMT, but due to a recent discussion I'm actually starting to think that that's just due to that batch itself.... The first time I had none whatsoever, and that was when combined with a high dose of 2C-I. Really, I think it is the body aspect of 5-MeO tryptamines in general that makes then sound mostly unappealing me. It distracts me from getting the most out of my trips. But I guess that's what nitrous is for....

I'm sure it can make for a nice trip, but honestly, once a psychedelic has killed someone in even remotely reasonable doses, they pretty much hit me "forgotten forever" list. With dozens of unbelievably safe psychedelics in existence, I really just don't see the point.
 
Bummer, I just read the notice about his declining health on the main page earlier too. :( He was an incredible man and I'm sure we'll still be reaping the benefits of his work for many, many years to come. RIP....
