:raises hand" I'm probably too new but still am interested.

Hiya SB1981

I hope I'm not speaking out of turn here but why not apply if you want to n think you could do it? I've applied n I came later than you. Life's too short for wanting something n not trying for it. You may get it you never know. Of course it's up to you.

Take care,
Evey xxxx

Hmmm this is interesting.. I think for now I Iike being Ambassador though. :)
My time spent online varies too frequently lately to be a mod.. but an hour a day isnt bad now that I finally have a new phone lol.
Plus Ive only been around here since March ._.
Perhaps next time around I'll apply. ^^

~Verii

(P.S.... I'll actually think about it.)

If you apply, good luck. You might make a good mod n you don't know unless you try. If you think you're ready then all power to you. You've always come across as sincere n you're already an ambassador. If you don't try there's always next time.

I'm sure whoever is chosen will do ace.

Thanks Evey :)
I wish everyone good luck who is interested!

NMI is important. It's great for the newcomers to have somewhere to make themselves at home, meet & greet. ^^

~Verii

Of course. The newcomers are the future of Bluelight. They're the next generation of the BL mission so to speak. They're important. Everyone is important n everyone should feel wanted, needed, included, valued, part of the team. That's what I've always aimed to achieve when greeting newcomers of the site. It's important, in my opinion, to arm them with user-friendly information, ie by giving them links so they're easily taken to where to need to go thus limiting searching time and activating activity time quicker.

The more user-friendly a place is, the more likely that people will stay. We live in a fast-paced society, everything wanting, no NEEDING information not now but yesterday. Unfortunately, it's how the world is now n the more quickly that people receive stuff the more likely they will return---and stay, just my 2 penny's worth lol.

A lot of people who come here are vulnerable---not everyone, of course, but a lot is, have been through stuff n having a friendly welcome can mean so very much to some people, especially if lonely n in need of friendship - that's why the adoption programme is useful. There's nothing more rewarding than seeing a newcomer happy, satisfied, feeling wanted, included, VALUED - and knowing that I've helped achieve that. A post, with a few friendly words, armed with the right information, can make such a difference to some people. I did not realise this before I came to BL and read comment after comment from newcomers, thanking their respondents for the warm welcome n the links/directions, advice, instructions n what-not.

What can be more rewarding than seeing a newcomer go from a newbie to an integrated member of the site? - knowing I've helped to somehow achieve that. OK Sorry, I've waffled on a bit. I'll stop now.

I've made up my mind and decided to not go for it, as my internet access lately has declined dramatically since I started working... and also I feel I havent been here long enough to take charge. It'd be unfair if I got rewarded it.

Still best of luck for whoever applies!! ^^ :)

All the best,
~Verri
