On my side of the road ;)
My question is with reference to infrequent use of Codeine and staying healthy.

Does the seldom use of Codeine have any impact on a healthy lifestyle with weights and cardio being my main goal?

Thanks

My main concern with long term opiate use, even in low doses, would be low testosterone levels. It shouldn't be too noticeable, but if you notice any symptom of low T like reduced muscle mass, erectile dysfunction, etc. get a blood test.
Being high on codeine may cause you to workout less intensely, and you could kill yourself by having a weight crush you. So don't go to the gym while on codeine.
I hope that helped.

by seldom you mean how frequently?
^this, how seldom do you use? At what doses? If the use is rare I dont see a problem with it but like what flyhighk mentioned, it can lower testostetone levels. I would suggest that if you have an intense goal, to just focus on the workouts and try not to use codeine. The lesser you use, the lesser the problems.

LOL testosterone levels.

The biggest HEALTH concern is constipation. It's a CNS depressant.

Bodybuilding/strength and drugs (excludes cannabis) don't really mix

codeine syrup has a ton of sugar.

the codeine pills i know of all have NSAID painkillers in them which are pretty bad for your liver. actually they can be terrible at too high a dose or too often.

the testosterone and all that i don't know, i'd assume it's bad because opiates kill sex drive.

Codeine does not get you high, it mostly makes you fall asleep. I dont recommend taking that many.

Also, mixing weed and medicine?? No wonder you didnt notice the codeine.
