Senior staff can check IP addresses yes. Forum staff can't but there is a system in place to deal with alts at the senior staff level.

Casual Festival Event Security Staff Wanted!
Hmm, dunno about being security, that probably wouldnt suit me at all, but getting paid to listen to music and watch the crowd doesnt sound like a bad job. Also someone i once knew was part of the clean up squad at Glastonbury, i think this meant that he got in free, he just had to help with the picking up of litter after the event. Apparently he found quite a lot of valuable stuff amongst all the litter. Wouldnt mind doing that.

Yeah, most festivals have litter picking and stewarding volunteer jobs available in exchange for tickets.. I think litter picking is usually daily though, not just at the end. I love doing stewarding though, tis fun.

Okey doke. Just to (hopefully) clear this up a bit, assuming you were referring to one of the threads actually deleted by a staff member (those would be the two on European countries and drug production/distribution) it appears the OP was thought to be an alt - one of a few banned members known to post endless, pointless questions - and there was a pattern of strange posting behaviour not just in EADD but elsewhere too. The user was banned so his threads went bye-bye. Although it affected EADD it wasn't necessarily specifically the EADD threads alone that were the problem so much as the overall posting and/or simply the OP not being welcome here. If you have any more questions feel free to PM but I can promise you you are blaming the wrong people for something that doesn't even involve any need for blame.
