Bupe Question about end of Suboxone withdrawal

Ok I am on the last day of my Suboxone taper to get off heroin. I Went Day 1: 8mg 2. 4mg 3. 2mg 4. 1mg now I have .5 left on day 5. What I am wondering is would it really make a difference to take the .5 and jump or should I just jump now? I am terrified of becoming dependent on the bupe and was just wondering if it would make any difference to jump now at 1mg or take the .5 and jump?

Jumping at 1mg compared to .5 is actually a big difference. That would be half your dose.. that's a big difference in terms of withdrawal severity. Get down to as low of a dose as possible, even lower than .5 if you can.

thanks man, i'll take the .5 then and jump. I would go lower, but the .5 is all I have left and since I went 8,4,2,1 it seems logical to take the .5 and jump rather than cutting a little sliver off it for tomorrow..

That's should be fine with a taper that short you shouldn't feel anything hardly when you stop it:)

Thanks man, as you know this hasn't been easy, but I am strong willed. Quick story I used to drink 12-18 sometime's more beers a day for about 15 years, then quit cold turkey, made it 2 day's then was in absolute hell holding onto my life by a string, if I slipped into a panic attack, I knew that was going to be it. So I started taking xanax for the wd then I became addicted to those and had to go through benzo withdrawal which was just as bad if not worse, but I made it out alive, clean. Then I discovered heroin, and believe it or not I was able to work mon-fri staying clean and do H only on the weekends, stop monday, and have no withdrawals. I actually did that for about 6 months, was loving it, until I lost my girlfriend of 13 years, then BOOM started doing H everyday for 2 month's and that took me to where I am now. But opiate withdrawal was just as bad just in a more emotional way instead of a I could die any minute way like alcohol / benzo's. Was wondering since I'm done with the sub now, would taking L-Tyrosine today and for the next couple of week's help? I also have L-Theanine.

Look into Kratom. It's helped a lot of people I know get off bupe.

I heard about the stuff, is it considered a opiate? and does it have agonist properties to the receptors? I have heard of someone that used kratom after suboxone and reported that it merely delayed the withdrawal and it came back even stronger after he stopped using the stuff, but he was using kratom for hot sec. I'm just sick of opiate withdrawals and don't want kratom to bring any back, or stall off the Suboxone, or cause a whole new wd. Will it still work while the suboxone is still in my system? My last .5 dose was at 9am this morning. And how long of a duration should I use it if I decide to go that route?

Sorry for bombarding you with questions.

It's not considered an opiate, no, but the main alkaloids present in it do act on you opiate receptors. It behaves like a μ-opioid receptor agonist like morphine. So it can eliminate withdrawals, and in people with no opiate tolerance or a low one, can actually get them pretty high. It can cause dependency, but takes much longer to happen, and the withdrawals are much milder than traditional opiates. We have a megathread on it here on BL. Look into it. Lots of info out there about it.

Nice, sounds like something I am considering doing, and i'll check out the megathread. I know you told me before that it doesn't matter whether it's H or Bupe there both opiates and I'm going to withdrawal no matter what, that's why I took your advice and tapered off the Suboxone. My main question is whether or not Kratom will add to the withdrawal? Because if not that would be great to get me through the lingering withdrawal effects I have left.. I just want to be out of the water though, not add steam to the pot, knawmean?

Just picked up 30 grams of Bali, how many grams should I dose? The package does not indicate dosage.
