Cat food news update:

For spoiling him rotten (this includes dreamies), the cat did something amazing to show his appreciation. I've heard stories of cats doing this but never seen it for real:

He killed a rabbit, chewed it's head off and delivered it to the door step. Both parts - The head ripped off and the body with it's internal organs leaking out of it were presented.

awwww aren't they the sweetest of creatures.
 
I find with tinned food and our cats at home, they won't eat it if it's dried out at all, so if we don't use a whole tin we put one of those plastic lids on and stick it in the fridge. We feed them pouches in the morning and tinned in the evening, they all eat it fine.

They also bring home live or dead-but-not-eaten animals (mice, shrews, weasels, rabbits, all manner of birds, frogs, newts, and one bat) as gifts. Fun trying to catch the live ones to return outside only to be caught again.

This time of year some of the younger more energetic cats tend to disappear for a few days at a time and come back covered in fleas and a pot belly full of young rabbits, so they defined eat them as well as giving them to us.

It did actually cross my mind. But I bought him some dreamies instead.

Yeah I saw him catch a vole. It wasn't nice to watch, so I turned my back and "let mother nature do her natural thing... 10 minutes later and the poor vole was still alive trying to escape the sadistic cat!

Mother nature is a bitch. Think I'm going to become atheist. I can't reason this one.
 
Surprised tbh unless you are seasoning the meat before giving it to him. Most cats don't give a fuck as long as it's salty. My grandad and me used to feed his cat marmite off our fingers, just dip it in and he would lap it up off.:)

edit: also lol at your location BHM, I think most men would happily move in there 8)

Yeah, I used to know this kid as a toddler who would douse his pecker in youghurt and let his dog lick it off. His father used to get the dog drunk too on JB...

Weird family that was...

And BHM made me chortle hehe
 
Yeah, that's a bit further than I've ever taken the loving of a family pet, don't have much to offer on that subject!
