Share something POSITIVE from your day vs. it's all around you

Actually this is something positive for the past few days..
Finally found someone that I can actually have a real conversation with.
Doesn't matter what it's about.
This person is smart, open minded and not the type of person I could usually consider myself "chill" with (which i find very interesting).
We have a lot in common and a lot of differences, it's almost as perfect of a friendship I could ask for.
I'm thankful I've come across this person at this time in my life, just when I was starting feel hopeless and worthless like I was wasting my time in life.

To this person: Thank you! <3

I went to a cafe and devoured the novel I'm reading. I love the experience of holding a paperback novel in my hands, and sipping chamomile tea. Everyone else was looking at their phones obsessively. Even folks who were hanging out together. Instead of talking they were engaged witn their phones. I was the lone lady in the cafe with a book in my hands. So bizarre.

I met up with my first real sponsee today, and I'm stoked... He's got all the exact same problems with AA that I've always had and I'll have the opportunity to show him that you can ignore the bullshit and benefit from what actually helps along with tailoring your own recovery program outside of meetings. I'm thrilled because honestly i don't know how much help id be to someone who wants to rely on god to save them, no offense, just saying...

Had my first day back at gradschool in a few weeks. I adore my teacher and am completely engaged with the material. That's exactly what I hope to have in a classroom experience, so I am feelingn so satisfied and grateful.

It's Saturday:) Just a day with my family enjoying the important things in life

Taekwondo, and im very proud of him. <3

Edit: might have to do a little study in jiu jitsu so I don't get my ass handed to me eventually.. totally kidding on that as we really have a very strong positive relationship.<3

Also I love these.. was munching off one just now.. edible arrangements.

Get him to a muay-thai gym now and get the hands involved, or as you mention get him to BJJ so he doesn't get taken down and broken when he tries to throw a tkd kick. Could be a cool thing to do together? Either way that's ace news! How old?

He started in it.. I think he may move into other disciplines... he is only nine so he has time.. Im big at encouragement and letting him find his own path in the world.

Pretty sweet though I have a picture of him kicking straight above his head while his other foot is planted on the ground. He is an amazing kid, really, really, bright.. He has a great mother and crazy NSA as a father.. So I think his future looks very bright.

I found out that two of my photographs are being published in a magazine next month. This is great news--I've had a fair amount of writing published, but this is the first time that my photos will be published.

I'm hoping this is the beginning of a positive trajectory for me after this last month of horrors. Hope you all are enjoying the weekend!

^Zwanya thats great congrats!!

It was a great day today in Vancity, the weather but maybe just something that was in the air that made me feel amazing.

My kids are coming to my house for the week cuz of April vacation.. hope I can figure out some shit to do.
Hopefully we have decent weather too.. I'm due for some football catch with my son.
My daughter tries to but she stays close to me and we pass the ball to each other then I bomb it to my son halfway down the street lol.
My kids are the only thing keeping me on this earth.
I don't see them enough since me and their mother broke up and I moved.
But yeah.. If I ain't on much in the next few days it's cuz I'm with them.

Edit: NSA that's cool shit.
I try teaching my son hapkido but I'm still learning myself.
A mix of hapkido, kick boxing and karate are what I took classes for when I was a kid.
Wanna learn ninjitsu. I prefer hapkido to all techniques tho having a mix does help.
