I have currently been abusing oxy for about 5 straight months now.. It started with back pain on Christmas and ever since then I have been on and off Percs and Roxis. I never went to a crazy high dose but I did use it often. I started at about 10-20 mg of percocet a day and then when I could not get percocet anymore, I got the extended release blue oxycodone 30 mg's. They seem to be the only available pharmaceutical opiate on the black market near me right now. One morning I felt like shit from puking the night before and I guess a combination of not being on any opiates for two days and threw up so bad, that I ended up with severe dehydration and needed to be treated at the hospital. After that, I stopped the oxy's for a bit because I was unsure about the whole situation.. I am also prescribed 2 milli benzo klonopin and 60 mg cymbalta (SNRI),

Now I am back using oxy's and I will not be able to get percs for the rest of the month. So I have been getting the blues (30mg). I take one and i feel amazing all day.. sometimes I binge and snort a quarter extra or what not

SO.. my question is when does the average withdrawal kick in? Because this morning I threw up but It might have been from an antibiotic I took. I had a roxie yesterday. How bad are the withdrawals going to be for someone who has been doing it as long as me and about the same dose? I have the klonopin, can that help when I go cold turkey? and if so, how? Thanks for the help!

Hey man it starts to get bad about 24 hours after your last dose your throwing up could have very well been withdrawal symptoms creeping up on you. Your symptoms will not be bad at all that's nothing 40 mgs a day you could stop that which I suggest you do before you end up like I did on 500 mgs of oxycodone a day then getting cut off and having to turn to heroin. Read my profile if you like ive been through all this many times I'll help you out if you like I got lots of ways I ease withdrawal symptoms I've detoxed from heroin and Roxy about 10 times.

Take klonopin to sleep when you feel you want to sleep and can't but use them sparingly they can become an addiction in themselves even worse than opiates the withdrawal from benzos makes heroin look like fun. Just use then for the first while when you absolutely need them and don't go popping a whole bunch looking for a buzz.

You arent using that much. If you can get suboxone I would do a short taper with that (like 3 mgs is all u need for an effective taper if you snort it). If not you can get some kratom online I suggest some prwmium bali powder and do a week long taper with that it will take away almost all physical wd symptoms.

Kratom! it reeaally helps. took my wd symptoms away completely . i was i.v anything you put in front of me for a yr.

Okay I will definitely check out Kratom.. Thank you everyone. Also, today I woke up and felt okay at around 2 pm. I took a 30 milligram roxi orally early in the day yesterday, took another half a couple hours later, then snorted a full one late at night.. So i went thru 75 milligrams yesterday. This morning I had to take an antibiotic and I took it and took my klonopin. About 45 mins later I started to not feel so hot as I started to get nauseous, so I took a roxi figuring I could try and avoid feeling shitty if it was withdrawal. I guess I took it too late? Because i puked five minutes later and I am sure most of the roxi was in there. Ugh, makes me mad. What a waste of money.. I started taking these because they made certain things more tolerable and fun, but now I see the severity it has and I want to end using them consistently... is what im experiencing all from the opiates?? I also have to take 2 mg of klonopin a day as I said earlier in the thread. But sometimes If I feel really hi at the time from the time release roxi, I will take half my dose which is .5 mg of klonpin instead of the whole dose. Any more stories or suggestions? Thanks!

PS I have 3 roxis left, but I am thinking about taking one as I puked right after taking mine earlier today. I also have a sufficient amount of klonpin. I have about 100 1 mg tabs in my possession right now

You definitely puked from withdrawal. What surprises me is that your dose is actually quote low, all things considered, and you haven't really been using THAT long. I can't believe you were actually hospitalized from it...I've had to endure the absolute hell of cold turkey Dilaudid withdrawal when I was IVing 50 pills of 8 mg each daily. Because of its short half life but powerful effects, that's pretty much the worst withdrawal you can experience. I remember starting to feel sick as hell just 6-7 hours after my last dose, then waking up early in the night and sweating profusely, puking everywhere. I would be sick and shaking but needed to drive to my doctors office and wait over an hour to get refills, often much earlier than I should, taking the risk of not getting refills at ALL and doing that for nothing. Bad times. You aren't that deep in it, man. Please stop now before it gets you, and it WILL get you. Imagine using airport toilet water to prepare an IV.

I am planning on stopping these are my last two and I don't plan on purchasing more.. I am scared already from these things as I see the power. So withdrawal starts as soon as the next morning? I mean i snorted one at midnight and then I got sick at like 3 pm. thats 15 hours later..

Ever since I took the last roxi three hours ago I have been paranoid and getting cold/hot sweats.. I'm afraid to go the diner with my family because I don't want to feel like shit out of no where and get the sweats or puke.. Any reason for this?

Damn, thats pretty good if you can feel great all day from 1 30mg roxi!

In the past when we used to get them, I would maybe feel them for about 2 hours max.

Part of it could be mental. The anxiety of just knowing you don't have any more could be getting to you. Reading the horror stories about withdrawal only makes it worse sometimes. On the flip side it could be good to know that it CAN be worse. You are at a relatively low dose but everyone is different. What may be a low dose for one person isn't for another. I've stayed at a relatively low daily dose (60 - 70 mg of hydro max) but done so for years. I go off and on. The crazy part is when you stop using, get through the withdrawals which is always the worst, but then start using again because of the mental addiction. My guess is your issue is the mental addiction and the anxiety of knowing you're withdrawing and not much you can do. Stop NOW. You've come this far and you're on this site for a reason - your thread is what got me to actually register. I've visited sites such as this one for many years (going on 15) always looking for something I can DO for the withdrawal. I've heard/read them all. Get through the next 72 hours and don't ever take another pill again if you can help it. I always think to myself "a few little pills won't push me back over the edge right?". It does every time. Good luck to you. Anything that will help you sleep is a very good idea. Withdrawals and no sleep are brutal on their own but together it's pure torture.

Again , definitely try kratom. i agree that its pricey in the store, however , you can make 1 purchase and then order some online which is much cheaper. then at least u would have some on hand while waiting . kratom has many great qualities including relief of opiate wd. Plus the risk for addition to kratom is low. i have been using it almost everyday for 5 months and when i don't have it i can still function easily.

Hey, I'm new here, but I do have an extensive background with opiate addiction and withdrawals. I have been using Vicodin and Percocet (snorting, don't hate. It's my nose. I know what it can do to my nose. I don't care, end of story) for almost 3 years now. Every day almost. My withdrawals seem to kick in after a few hours of doing my last pill. Mentally anyways. By the next morning i wake up with the shits, and mentally ready to do anything to get more. It's pretty bad for me, but it doesn't affect my job nor does it affect the way i'm raising my family. Anyways, what i usually do to get rid of or well, cope with the withdrawals is talk to some of my friends and reminisce of times we were all sitting around doing big fat lines. Sometimes its not physically doing the drug that takes away the withdrawal symptoms. Sometimes chasing the high is just as good.

Well today I officially ran out of opiates and like Sweetpea said, I am started to get anxious from thinking about not having any. I will not be binging on opiates ever again, thats for sure.. But I never had time to get Kratom so the only thing I have to kelp me is the klonopin... Everyone says be careful because its a benzo and they are just as addicting as opiates are, but I am already on 2 mg a day of klonopin so binging to get thru a withdrawal will not affect me too much.

It all begins now, I guess I will update tomorrow a couple of times and then the next day a couple of times and ask any questions if needed.. Thanks to everyone for the help any support.

Congrats, hope your detox is going well. Its not to late to order some kratom there are many reputable sites that have very quick shipping (i order mine in the morning and with priority shipping (which is only like 6 bucks) i have received it the very next day).

Hey guys, its been 26 hours since I took my last dose of oxy and I feel okay, not sick.. But I am getting 'the zaps' in my head and body.. Almost like an electronic shock thru my body. I have heard of these from withdrawal from cymbalta but then after some research, found that some kicking the opiate habit get it also.. I am on only hour 26 but hopefully its smooth sailing for the rest of the ride.. I will update again.

PS-Lechium- I do not think I need the kratom right now but is definately an option if things get bad...

About 47 hours since my last dose.. Feel more bummed as I am not happy where I am in life and my depression is kicking in more. I never even realized how much of an escape I was in when I was under the influence.. Now this just sucks..and on top of it, a friend of mine got his percocet script.. But depression blows..
