Apologies for rambling on so much.

If that counts as rambling I have no idea what word would adequately describe the outpourings of some of us here.

Also, can't help wondering if quite so much attention would've been lavaished is Mz Energy happened to be a Mr Energy. Some things may never change. First to lay their cape over a pool of vomit wins a snotty hanky tossed from the fair maiden's fair hand or summat. Possibly.

(it's not my imagination is it? no new fella gets quite so much personal attention do they? i call sexism. next new fella should be made to feel equally as welcome or you's all chauvinist pigdogs :p)

Still coming up a greenlighter at top of my page. Somebody help lol. I've got posts to reply to and I can't. I hate being unintentionally ignorant

You can always count on at least one of us to be nasty to Ver Chix, y'know?

Incidentally, my only period of people ever being pleasant to me was those couple of months during which they (somehow) thought I was a woman. So yeah, you're right. :D

You're not a Greenlighter on my screen.

And no, that's not a chat-up line.

Just a reminder to all to lay off the vendor discussion please. I realise there are disgruntled customers out there (and rightly disgruntled by the sound of things) but it's still BL policy to disallow discussions of such nature unless the situation is pretty frikkin extreme (as in bromo-dragonfly being sold as 2C-B-fly as happened a while back and similarly life-threatening incidents). I'm not arguing there might be HR value in such discussions but they are still not allowed on BL for very good reason. Unfortunately that also means that some discussion that could be useful has to take place off-site as it is simply too open to abuse amongst other reasons.

Just a general note as I just snipped a chunk of vendor forum text and would hope to steer conversation away from such specific vendor talk.

As you were.

That could've been a pretty fucked up and scary few hours...or a lucky break...depending on your point of view i guesses
Yeah, apparently it was the former. He wasn't in a happy place this morning.

Teheh, no, you're quite right. Think I was ignored for the first 3 months. ;)

(Damn, this thread has grown fast... since when was Thursday the day of muntheredness!?)

Raas, am currently in possibly the worst state I've been in since joining BL (a serious statement coming from me, and unlikely to be true - though I'm running it pretty close). The basic gist goes some thing along the lines of 10 hour pee vee binge and no downers - also run out of mexxy, maybe just 60 mg left.

Anyway, the long and short of it is that while I did my best to process your latest response to my post I can't really claim to be in anywhere near the mental clarity to give a proper response
- not least due to my inability to even register what you said in your post to begin with. While this fact alone ought to obviously render this a pointless excerise, the fact is I cant think of anything else to do right now. Apologies for my rambling.

First off, having noted the number of posts from shambles I feel it a safe bet that he will have covered what ever I would have said myself so I feel I'm probably not gonna be adding much new. I also saw coltdan s been in the mix too so I definitely know most bases will have been covered.

The only thing I wanna say right now is that while I may be in a shocking state right now, I know my family, who I am currently back living with right now, are having a nights sleep - well mostly anyway. The same situation would not apply if I was still drinking. Not to mention the sleepless nights I endured as a child due to my dads choice to take alcohol over other drugs. He used to come home and smash the house up about 3 nights a week, until I grew up and put a stop to it myself.

I'm gonna have to bail now. catch you guys in a bit.

No need to say any more, Swarm. You've just demonstrated my point exactly, of why drugs should remain illegal!

@ raas - you sound like my dad, what exactly are you doing on a HR site when you'd like to keep the most harmful side of drugs alive, ie, prohibition and misinformation?

As Shambles has said the most alluring side of drugs is their illegality to a youngster, was for me anyway, I was 15 and running around thinking I was Renton. Look where that got me. Can you not agree that the current policies do not work? I dont have the answer but it certainly isnt prohibition!

Better to sound like your Dad (older and wiser) than a grandkid or something, surely?

The thrill of taking a substance because it's naughty, is nothing compared to the increased availability that will be created through legalizing or decriminalizing drugs.

This is observably true in Portugual, where recreational amount of drugs are decriminalized. Use has significantly risen with all illicit drugs, even doubled with some.

from Wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drug_policy_of_Portugal#Observations
Reported lifetime use of "all illicit drugs" increased from 7.8% to 12%, lifetime use of cannabis increased from 7.6% to 11.7%, cocaine use more than doubled, from 0.9% to 1.9%, ecstasy nearly doubled from 0.7% to 1.3%, and heroin increased from 0.7% to 1.1

With current laws of prohibition, drugs are harder to find and contacts easier to cut off. Increased availability of drugs is an inevitable outcome of ending prohibition, this would endanger more vulnerable people. Remember, the law is in place to protect society as a whole. I'm not mentioning names, but on this very site I see members who cannot control their drug intake and exhibit deterioration in mental health. With increased availability, we would see far more of this.

How you can possibly claim this view to be anti HR is madness and unfounded.

You have amazing self control yoyo.

I'm no longer a greenlighter, it doesn't take me half an hour to scroll down to read posts anymore.

Just had a phone call that's twisted my melon about a friend who's been in police custody since last night. Completely thrown my buzz.....almost outta beer too.

Yeah cos that stopped him (/anyone) from taking them :p

Drugs being illegal = no regulation.

There is no age restriction.
No quality control. Harmful shit gets thrown in the mix. Varying purity means people accidentally overdose. Things get passed off as something else (PMA > MDMA).

Profits go directly to the hands of criminal gangs. Costs come straight out of the hands of tax payers.

Peoples lives are being ruined by criminal records / potential prison time for victimless crimes such as possession.

Addicts are a lot less likely to seek help due to the stigma associated.

There is a lack of real education around the subject as any spreading of factual information is classed as advertising drugs / saying it's ok to take them.

The list is almost endless.

All of them are ignoring the fact that there is NO evidence to support the claim that drugs being illegal deters drug use.. there is evidence, however, to suggest that the claim is bullshit.

Interesting you bring up Portugal as evidence to support your crap.. Drug use had risen.. Sure.. What about addiction rates? Death caused by drugs? And diseases spread by sharing needles? Basically.. What has happened to the harms caused by drugs?

I think the fact that drugs are illegal make rebellions want to do them more. I believe there's a good reason why they are illegal but I can't begin to comprehend why alcohol and nicotine is legal when they seem to be the most destructive in some respects.
