Not sure this is the right spot for this post.. I'm not a recreational user, but assumed my experience with opiates would be most similar to a recreational user. I've had an impacted tooth for 2 days now, but it's just gotten worse and worse, so I went to the E.R. since I wont be able to see my dentist until wednesday. I was given some antibiotics along with 6 7.5mg hydrocodone for breakthrough pain and 8 morphine sulfate 30mg. The hydrocodone helped a lot with the pain for a small while, once I noticed that the pain started to come back I took 1 of the morphine pills and it put my stomach into absolute knots... more severe than my tooth pain, but not as constant.. has anyone else had this issue and know of a way to negate it? I'm thinking a very full meal would help avoid this problem, but eating is difficult. It's only been 16 hours since I got my small prescription and I've already used half of my hydrocodone as the morphine was the worst pain ever. I forced vomiting thinking it'd relieve the stomach pain but no luck. My tooth pain is really severe, and I couldn't afford the E.R the first time, let alone going back so if anyone has any advice on how to make the morphine tolerable I'd appreciate it.
