Am not a fan of named sign-offs but y'all appear to have missed the bit that linkies to the EADD Homepage. It's a relevant sig as far as I can tell and a person's choice of signing off in whichever way they so choose is theirs. I don't get it myself but there's plenty who do go in for that kinda signoff so perhaps it's us that's missing something? Or perhaps it's a very minor point that matters little.

pointless to you, sure.

to me, it's my signature. it signs off my posts and says, simply put, "i wrote this and i stand by it." i'm barely aware when i do it these days.

I was very worried last night on reading foolsgold's last post, typed a reply similar to yours, F.U.B.A.R., then didn't send it because I wasn't sure it was the best thing to do :\. Shambles was keeping an eye on the forum anyway, he's probably closer to foolsgold than me. I hope he's OK now <3

Don't worry about it honey. People will nitpick at anything.

There's nothing wrong in you doing that. I put my name at the end of everything - and Alasdair does too. If others have an issue with it, that's there problem. You're not doing anything wrong.

Ahhhhh only just saw this. My ID is Evelievibe but I prefer people to call me "Evey," so I always sign as Evey, hoping that people get the hint - n 9 times out of ten they do. That's my excuse anyway lol.

Okeydoke, folks 'n' dolks, this thread has gone way off-course and as FG appears to be coming and going I think it's time to close the goodbye thread and leave him to post where he pleases along with everybody else. Discussion of the various merits of types of sig has nothing to do with a well-liked member considering leaving so I think this has served its purpose and is heading towards Gibberings for which we have an existing thread. Could be argued we have several existing Gibberings threads any one of which could contain current discussion so...

Closed.

If FG wishes to have this thread re-opened please contact me or any of the other mods or feel free to start a new thread any time.
