I expected weeping and gnashing of teeth, not "oh well, eh?".
I fucking hate this forum.
Why, Sammy? It's not a bad forum even though I'm hated, by certain people, no matter what I do LOL....

Oh, shh. I'm fully aware that there's no way you would accept an invite for tea and cake.![]()
Riiiight. Well, I still need a bit more time to get over the disappointment of last time, anyway. 8)
Recently planned EADD meetups never happen, Eve. They nearly happen, but never get off the ground.
Probably just thought you were funny lookin'
It's all very well saying MAKE them happen but unfortunately that would involve MAKING half a dozen or more other people get on the train or bus or car and arrive at a given place at a given time. That's a bit beyond my makative powers unfortunately. They were fairly common a few years back - I went to several - but seemed to fizzle out a couple years back. Nothing quite so dramatic to report from any of the meets I attended. We did take lots of drugs, dance a lot of dances, talk a lot of talks, laugh a lot of laughs and take a lot more drugs though. All the ones I attended were great fun which is why I wish people would pull their fingers from their orifices and actually make it to down one of these times a meet is planned. Or even be able to make a firm decision on what the plan is 8)
Agreed.. my parents way way overstressed this and it probably took me about 25 years to realise that most people actually aren't out to rape and/or murder me. (But also agreed that EADD meets aren't the best place for kids! So that's probably a wise decision, Evey.)As a minor aside, I think the emphasis parents put on "Stranger Danger" is a bit extreme. It's relatives that are statistically faaaaaaaaaaaaaaar more likely to harm children than strangers. That's not such a nice thought for most people so all the talk tends to be of strangers. Not that I'm suggesting there is no risk from strangers but I do think it's greatly overplayed and can actually be potentially harmful for children cos they live with unnecessary levels of fear and anxiety over people they don't know.
