I know Loperamide is a controversial topic, but has anyone had any interaction between Suboxone and Loperamide? I'm talking PWs and such.

Yeah he ended up having to take two of them, and that's when he really started feeing shitty with side effects. Then he went back to the strips I think and still just wasn't into it, didn't like how the bupe was making him feel anymore at all, and said fuck it and got some Kratom, which he used to detox. Worked really well for him actually.

I'm sorry to hear that your friend had a bad experience with subzolv. Is he now back on suboxone n if so, I hope that things are now going ok for him/her.
It's good that you included this though, because it shows how buprenorphine, and other substances, can affect many different people in different ways. Subzolv may be excellent for some, but not everyone.
Lucas, my only advice to you is to research around, ask questions as you are doing. By what I have heard, sub doctors are in it for themselves and the money (this is based on GOSSIP, not fact as I am not from the States) and if this is true it is very important to take your time and do your research before you transfer. Please don't think I'm trying to patronise or be offensive to you in any way I am not, I always research a medication before taking it.
You're in the right place with Mr.Scag, Tommyboy n co - they know their stuff.

Hey guys, is it possible that some people are naturally less affected by bupe than others? I'm an occasional opiate user (once or twice a month) so my tolerance is very low, probably baseline. However, 1 mg of bupe, (sublingual) which is a high dose for an intolerant person, gives me only a slight, subtle buzz with very little mood lift. On the other hand 200-250 mg of tramadol blows me away, I can barely keep my eyes open, strong euphoria, nausea, constantly nodding. I know this sounds unusual, maybe even funny, but is there anyone else with similar experience?
 
Suboxone is an opiate antagonist, which means it doesn't open the flood gate of endorphins to nod you out. It is true that opiate naive people will catch a heavy buzz off of it in the traditional sense. However, people are different, and despite the fact that your tolerance is low Suboxone is not a drug that gets you there because of its antagonist action. Perhaps, your tolerance is greater than you estimate it to be.

Either way, Suboxone is a good tool for those trying to get their life in order, not to get high off of, imo.

Hey Lucas, successful switcher from suboxone to zubsolv here! Just wanted to tell ya that my experience was more than successful, I myself feel that zubsolv is superior in every way for many reasons. (Inbox if you'd like to know my reasons why)

In the end everyone's body chemistry is different. What works for me and many others may not work with you, that's a risk you're gonna have to take to find out yourself. Try it! You may be very very presently surprised! ...or you may hate it and switch back, you'll know after a couple days. If I can answer any questions for ya let me know. I have extensive knowledge on all things bupe, especially on zubsolv.

Has anyone seen and/or tried these "gummy" subs? I had to meet my dealer in the dark 2 nights ago and in a rush. when i opened up the baggie it contained 2 cubes, red in color, and the exact consistency of a gummy bear. I was pissed at first because I thought I had got ripped off. I called my dealer raising hell. She assured me it was the real deal, to get a razor blade and cut it into 4 pieces, each piece being one dose, and dissolve under my tongue. So, I did. It tasted like complete shit. But, about 30 minutes later it hit and it was awesome! absolutely incredible. Having taken suboxone in pill and strip form and subutex in pill form, these gummy cubes are by far the best I've ever done.
 
Buprenorphine is a shitty partial agonist that's good for maintenance because it has a long half-life....I don't care if the fucking pope, the prophet Mohammed and the second coming of Jesus Christ himself bless the pills/strips/gummies...It will never "get you high" in the way a full agonist opiate does, and that's not the point of getting on Suboxone in the first place!

No matter how you cook or season tofu, it will never be meat..it's just not possible! If buprenorphine actually "gets you high", the doctor who prescribed it to you has made a mistake and done you a disservice!

So in microgram doses the bupe converting into nor - bupe which is a full agonist along with less regular bupe to compete with for the receptors due to the low dose.. you don't think that it would get one high? Especially with someone with low tolerance?
Obviously not like dope would.
But for someone looking for an opiate buzz, i think it'd do.

I was on it for over two years and didn't get good effects from it till I tapered to micrograms. I didn't get "high" but felt a difference, and I was on maintenance.

Glad I'm off it now though. . Worst Wds and paws I ever had. Worse than methadone imo.


Edit: has anyone seen all the old bupe threads?
All the dosage tests CH did and I followed along doing the same and learning as much about this exact subject as possible.. guess I shouldn't have taken a BL break. I feel forgotten.

Why would anyone want to get high off buprenorphine when there are other opiates which could do the job better? To be it seems ludicrous. N a waste of time. The people who are on maintenance for an addiction shouldn't be trying to get high off it, in my opinion, because it beats the whole purpose of going onto opiate replacement therapy in the first place.

Buprenorphine was not designed for recreational use. Personal, if I was getting high off it I would be concerned as, for me, it's a tool in helping me overcome my addiction n addictive behaviours - not enable them - and by getting high offf it, that is EXACTLY what it would be doing for me - enabling my addictive behaviours.

If you are wanting to get high still you're either:
- yet been on buprenorphinr long enough to stablise on it where those cravings should go.
- not on a high enough dose of buprenorphine for cravings / the obsessive thoughts to stop
Or
- not ready to stop your addiction n thus not ready for buprenorphine / opiate therapy maintenance.

The above are just my thoughts n opinions on the matter anyway. If anyone disagrees lets hear it n discuss it.

I did it purely for learning. I had no choice but to go on suboxone when I did. I was on probation so obviously doing dope and ocs still would have ended my ass back in jail.
Yeah I attempted to get high on it.
But it still beaten my addiction.
I am no longer addicted to opiates and I can proudly say that because it was not easy at all.. Over a year of paws, i could a relapsed whenever I wanted but didnt.
Anyway..
In the induction period of suboxone treatment you will catch a buzz. Because of the fact you're in Wds at the time and to alleviate that feels wonderful.
But the drs put people on such high doses that with along with its Half Life keep your receptors completely saturated in bupe .. I'm saying low doses that don't completely overwhelm them with the high affinity bupe allow for lows and HIGHS to be achieved by micrograms a couple times a day..

I agree suboxone treatment is to stop getting high. But there are some people who ARE gonna misuse it. Just like benzos are for anxiety but people use them for recreation.

There will always be people who abuse medicines.. and no one is going to stop them, so why not help them do it the best way instead of fucking up their tolerance by taking unneeded massive doses?

Like I said.. I had no choice but to go on it and yes used it for a high while still maintaining maintenance and got my life straightened out all at the same time.

We'll have to agree to disagree on the views of this subject.
Once an addict you're always gonna have the thought of getting high in your head. It becomes part of who you are. I don't look at myself as a bad person for using it how I did.. I am still 2 years clean off opiates.
 
^All judgment aside, buprenorphine isn't capable of getting anyone high for that long...regardless of how much they take...That's one of the main areas that buprenorphine and methadone differ.
