Personally I think the line should be drawn at those that have a history of domesticity, or those that are endangered and being breed. Zoos are horrific.

Never- I guess I am a bit misanthropic, but I view Homo sapiens as one of the least interesting and most distasteful creatures this fine earth has produced. We have our redeeming qualities, ie empathy, love, fine art, etc, but generally we are A cancerous scourge that has taken the reigns of this planet and raped it for our ever unsatisfiable demands. A Bit misanthropic is maybe an understatement:) I find certain individuals fascinating, and those that can express a black box ping of the human condition or recognize the beauty and tragedy of existence redeeming. But abusing the fuck out of other creatures for our entertainment is just one of many sickening traits I despise in "us"...

That being said, I raise and kill hundreds of animals a year for food, for a living. I see no wrong in this....they are various species that have been domesticated for thousands of years, get treated very well, and provide healthy ethically raised food for many. I feel no guilt about this, and this isn't just justification. It makes sense, and it's my one man war against factory farming and unhealthy food.

I completely agree with you on everything you said here. We are partly meat-eaters, it's the way we evolved, the leading theory is that cooking and eating meat was what began our rapid brain development in earnest. Creatures eat other creatures to live, that's life, that's nature. And the way you (amanitadine) do it is the best way, that or hunting wild creatures for sustenance. Factory farming and zoos are going way past that point, it's not the same thing at all. Excessive hunting for sport has literally wiped species to extinction and almost done so for a whole collection of others. And habitat destruction has had an even greater impact than consumption. We've done a horrible job at respecting and taking care of the Earth and the Earth's creatures, it's a travesty in my opinion.

Re radiohead- love em. In rainbows was slow to grow on me but it is great ....reckoner? <3 all I need? <3 Oh man, I saw them at the Gorge in WA state, a beautiful desert and Columbia river gorge backdrop....one of the best shows I've ever seen...June 23, early 2000's...amnesiac tour...I was high on IV heroin and crystal meth, and LSD....but it was an amazing show regardless, ive got the bootlegs to prove it! ;) little did I know my freedom would be taken away shortly thereafter, doors kicked in, my lab and "life's work" (haha, at least a that point it was! :D) taken, and years of hell to follow. Oh well, it was a great show!

Reckoner is probably my favorite. I also really love the 2nd one (Body Snatchers I think) and Jigsaw Puzzle Falling into Place.

Note: Not making truth claims, just poking at your words to see what will happen.

LOL, your indictment of mankind relies upon ideas mankind invented. A given species' population is going to grow until it reaches its habitat's carrying capacity, if there's nothin' to keep the population in check. In some cases this may have a significant effect on biodiversity, in others it might not.

If we are gonna apply ethics (responsibility, benevolence, yada yada) as a yardstick for species' comparative worth, then it seems to me that only those lifeforms that have the capacity to make ethics-based decisions can be evaluated. So, we can only judge ourselves, and it makes little sense to make a single, sweeping good/bad verdict that covers all 7 billion of us, it would make more sense to compare specific populations, or groups within a given population.

Mark Twain made some wonderful negative appraisals of humanity, especially our moral sense, in a number of his short stories. Fun stuff.

Anyway, I read the above sentiments as indicating alienation from/disillusionment with society, its values & institutions. Because of this your identity, and empathy, are extended primarily towards nature, in its 'innocence' and inability to let you down, in a thought process that blooms as primitivism (or somethin' on the hippie-end of the scale) or the humanity-as-disease theory.

We have rearranged some terrestrial matter (and put an infinitesimal amount into outer space!), if that's what you mean.

Man, I was totally gonna watch some show about factory farming a ways back, but other persons in the room complained that they didn't wanna see/hear about it, so I couldn't. It looked pretty darn efficient, but I basically know nothing about the subject. Feel free to educate me.

I am glad that you're doing things in a way that you're proud of, good number of folks'll pay for their dinner to have had a decent life while it lasted. Us po' folks can't be so picky (I don't get that much meat, but I certainly don't get free-range, organic eggs).

Oh man, wish I had that botany book, it totally listed the amount of land needed to feed a given number of people in hunter/gather societies, it was insane. Then we followed corn production per acre from early cultivation through hybridization, and the industrialization of agriculture going into the early/mid-20th century.

Have you considered the logistics of this? Hectares required, monitoring of game populations to ensure adequate size/stability, licensing of hunters and the enforcement of relevant restrictions...

that's a lot of booze

Hope your all well as can be! <3 Great job/good luck! Xork I find that entirely normal. For me it's similar to eating psychedelics, sometimes you get a very strong, unexpected trip and it's the same thing with rectal and even IM, though less so.

been wondering lately how you've been. hope you're as well as can be as well.

I'm peaking on alcohol. HAHA. peaking on fucking alcohol. euphoric? YES

I know what you mean. Except that peak can quickly take a turn for feeling like a drunken piece of shit. That's why I always keep my alcohol intake to no more than 4 glasses in a day (for an adult male) and no more than 2 days a week. Otherwise things tend to get sloppy. By moderating alcohol intake like that, the euphoria always stays fresh.

Granted I must synergize the drinks with superior chemicals and/or cannabis. Alcohol by itself is garbage imo, and is what leads people to compulsively drink. Alcohol just does not keep a seeker of euphoria satisfied well enough on its' own. =D

Anyways, enjoy your buzz! And please synergize that poison with something fun!

Yeah coming up on alcohol doesnt last so long and after the peak I end up way too drunk when i try to catch that moment but you never get it.

I havent drank heavily in a year or two like in my teenager years, its just not worth it. I love the come up that you get from couple of drinks and then I smoke some cannabis and maintain that buzz for the rest of the night sipping beer/wine/whatever nowadays.

I don't mean to sound like a Doctor or anything, just that I hate the feeling of being hungover and so now I keep it at like 5 drinks max and drink lots of water and eat food before I go to bed to avoid any nasty residual effects the next day like a headache.

Cannabis and alcohol are a great team, man I can't wait until I can take a puff again, not for a couple more weeks! However a certain church of neuroscience has blessed me with their molecular offerings which provide enough euphoria on their own.

Wish I could sip a brew and take a puff with ya!

But man in the next couple weeks I'll be visiting this lounge getting my buzz on proper!

I have waited for this whole week, its my favorite combo for relaxation.

Alcohol is unique in a way that theres that thing that you can drink these tasty drinks all night. Other drugs dont have that feature, you just eat/snort them or whatever.. But I fucking love red wine and good beers man. And cannabis is perfect to combine with alcohol, as it makes you drink slower (at least me) and not to get too drunk and prevent nasty hangovers. I love to smoke weed for hangover too. I have planned a few next days to just drink, smoke, smoke and drink hahahah. I love to wake up, smoke a bowl, eat something and start drinking. Haha. Good vibes to everyone out there.

It took years of training for me to really learn how to drink properly. I dont understand people who get wasted every weekend. Especially here in Finland people drink way too much. Also hangovers are getting worse and worse, not only physically but mentally. I fucking hate those nightmares.

Yeah man, hangovers get worse and worse as you get older. I started drinking when I was 17, I NEVER had hangobers at all, I would just feel light-headed and semi-partied the next day, I actually liked it. Partway through college I started getting hangovers every time but they weren't bad. I think I was about 25 when they started getting bad, and now an alcohol hangover is one of the worst feelings I can think of. I don't always get them because I don't drink very often, I have gotten really wasted a few times the past two years and had no hangover at all. Probably because I usually make sure to drink a LOT of water. But if I forget to drink water... oh no. It's absolutely wretched the next day, terrible, terrible feeling.

Stuff about food production

I don't know man, I don't know what the solution is. Maybe the way amanitadine is doing it. But check out factory farming sometime, it's a disgusting, dirty, disease-ridden thing that produces an intense level of suffering, at least the way it's commonly done now.

So last night I fell asleep watching an episode on my laptop. I sleep upstairs in my big bed. I woke up in the morning in the guest bed downstairs, which had had my laundry laid out on it, I was under the blanket with the laundry on top of me. No idea how I got there. When I was a kid I did that a lot, walking in my sleep. But I haven't had that happen in probably 12 years, really strange.

I wonder whats the reason for this. I never had a hangover when i was ~15-17 too.

One for sure is that when you started drinking, you only needed so little to get drunk. Like 6pack and I was wasted. That was when I was ~15. Now I can drink up to 20 beers a night. Wow. But it definitely have something to do with age as you get older.. The symptoms get so bad that the amount you drink cant be the only reason

I think it's because when you're young you're so resilient. The older you get the less resilient your body is. Also when you first start doing substances, you haven't toxified yourself yet.

I actually used to drink more when I first started drinking... I remember the first time I got super wasted. I drank 16 shots over the night and a couple of beers. I was really fucked up, the people I partied with called me "fetus boy" for a while because I ended up curled up in the fetal position laughing for hours. by about 4am I was mostly down and I had no hangover whatsoever the next day. Nowadays I drunk fast, on the rare occasion I drink. I got pretty wasted a few weeks ago for a friend's birthday, I actually didn't have a hangover that morning either. I was on the tail end of DOC, and DOC lets me drink a whole shitload if I want to, and I did. It was fun. :) I had probably 8 shots and 5 or 6 beers.

Im excited for that DOC experience.. I think im going to take 2,5mg for the first time. Does it really feel like amphetamine with visuals or what?

^ coincidentally, i just opened this thread to talk about DOC too :)

i just acquired a bit recently. i've had it before, but it was quite a few years ago. i am trying out a 1.8mg test dose of this batch today. if i was 100% responsible i would have started out with a single milligram to test this new batch, but oh well.

xammy, it does feel reminiscent of amphetamine and of LSD, but it definitely has its own unique character to it.

the state of street amphetamine in europe always baffled me

even here in the united states our street speed (typically methamphetamine instead of amphetamine) is typically way higher than 10% potency. and the best methamphetamine you can find is actually crystalline due to its high purity.

yeah, its fucking unbelievable. And people actually are ok with it, they expect street speed to be like 10% shit. its 150€ min for a gram of pure amphetamine. There are many overdoses everytime if someone sells pure speed because they are used to take 0,1-0,4g doses when all you need is like 10-50mg when it comes to pure material
