All water-based lubes dry fairly quickly. There is something to be said for vaseline, but personally I think that you lose sensitivity with it.
After about 20 minutes of wanking silicon will start to dry too. So you need to refresh now and then.

Sorry but its not at all. It dries up too quickly - even after a relative short time it gets 'sticky' and can actually increase the friction.

You need something silicon / oil based for long sessions. (ID is a good one for solo play)
