Can't go wrong wiv new Pumpkins/Corgan material. Is no wonder the geezer's a fiend considering the sheer volume of output involved. I consider myself a Pumpkins fanboy but know damn well I've probably barely made it through 1/4 of even the easy to access stuff (official releases excluded).

The one Pumpkins era I really don't get on with so well is the Adore one... however... when played live and acoustic with Sammy G's fave artist as guest vocalist I did go a wee bit gooey...

Smashing Pumpkins & Marilyn Manson - Eye/The Beautiful People (live '97)

shambles you fucking legend I too love this version of eye the pumpkins did with marilyn manson, twiggy etc..

And a shout to ben so furry. Yes with the black sun empire. Saw them many times when I was living in brighten around a decade ago. That whole dutch european scene really took dnb were it needed to go.

My tribute to BSE would be a tune called scorened by rawthang

I can't work out how to do this shit on my android when I been up all night and shit, just copy and paste the link into google.

don't be fooled by the graphic either.
Scorned was a Rawthang track and most definitely had prior release before black sun empires "Cruel and Unusual". A decent album in its own rights - depth charge being a real stand out, but nothing of that album was a patch on Scorned in my book. This was perhaps as pivotal as any track in laying the ground bass for liquid dnb, though without compromising on the trademark european aggression.

Also while on subject of genius behind sugar bob mould, anyone remember the track

JC Auto

It's probably my favourite Sugar song, aye. Great tune.

As for being the best thing he wrote, I think a lot of Hüsker stuff is probably better, albeit not always better-sounding (for various reasons).

Hüsker Dü - Makes No Sense At All

Try to imagine a nineties alt-rock scene without them. It's impossible.

I can't imagine the indie noise rock bands like sonic youth, pixies etc without bob mould either. He's like the unsung hero, but only by novice music fans, all the bands that left a 90's foot print cited him as one of / if not their main influence.

Now that I think about it even later bands like everyclear and pavement probably owe their sounds indirectly to Bob Mould. Then ofcourse there's that little known album called "Nevermind".

Nice one on the JC Auto recognition too btw.

Here's a movie theme you'll all know and love from the extremely popular and successful Grand Canyon film.

It's actually really good.
