If I wanted to try something besides Vyvanse or adderrall, what should I ask my Doctor for? It seems like those are the best two unless I ask for desoxyn which would probably hint to abuse since it's basically meth? Does concerta, ritalin, or any of the others compare to addy/vyvanse in the sense of recreation? I hear about nasty side effects from some of the others, but if that's referring to the crash then I can deal with it by taking a benzo or something.

If your question is, what is more similar to Adderall and Vvyanse? Dexedrine, Conerta, or Ritalin? Then i'd say dexedrine. I don't really understand your wording though.

Pretty sure this counts as a 'What should I take?' thread which isn't allowed, but I'm not the one to bust balls.

From what I've read Desoxyn is actually really smooth and has minimal side effects, but as you said it would probably raise a red flag to ask for it unless your a servere narcoleptic or have a very good relationship with an open-minded doctor.

If you like the Vyvanse you could ask for Dexedrine aka pure dextroamphetamime which I like because of the lack of PNS stimulation compared to the mixed salts of Adderall. It's essentially the same drug as Vyvanse though except that it doesn't need to be converted to d-amp in your body as it's not a pro-drug.

I have limited experience with methylphenidate, but you could always ask to try it as some prefer it to amphetamine. Some say it has a worse comedown. Like I said I've only had it on a handful of occasions. Focalin (dexmethylphenidate) is closely related and I've heard some people enjoy it, but I've never tried it.

If you're interested in trying methylphenidate make sure you avoid the Concerta brand if possible as it's not the easiest if your looking to try different ROAs.

To be honest, my post probably isn't much that you haven't heard and ADD medication stimulants aren't like pain killing opiates in that there is a long list of different ones to test to see what works best.

You should just ask the doctor which of the class of drugs you are seeking off of him is a better option.

Not only this is question have no harm reduction value, but it could easily be answered with a google search. There are probably 100s of random threads from various forums with information on this subject. Also its a matter of opionion/

i don't live in the USA and never heard of any of those meds, besides Ritalin, which I have done recreationally a few times. i'd say if you can try all of them, ask for one, say you don't like it, until you find your favorite one.

but i'd say Ritalin is kinda recreational though. i had a friend who had a lot of the 10mg pills and he gave them to me for free, and i had fun with them. it was like a substitute for coke, just infinite times cheaper since it was free.
getting drunk and snorting Ritalin is fun, you get the stupid of the alcohol while having energy to run around and motivation to do everything from the Ritalin. when you mix it with alcohol your liver also metabolizes the methylphenidate into ethylphenidate which is supposedly more euphoric, but i doubt it's that noticeable.

it's still much shittier than coke though. for me, at least, coke is a hundred times more euphoric. Ritalin just makes you energetic while coke has all that whoa let's party vibe, at least for me. may be it might be in my head. also, Ritalin leaves me very shaky.

but that's the only rec situation i'd say you could go with Ritalin. like free shitty coke. a cool dose would be around 40-50mg snorted plus enough booze to get you drunk. that's does it for me at least. also, don't go much over the 60mg mark... the first time i tried it, i snorted 80mg or 90mg can't remember and it was terrible. my heart rate went to 180bpm, i was literally shaking, couldn't sit down, was running around in circles, talking fast, completely paranoid i was gonna die or have a heart attack... some time later i downed some beers and took a 2mg alprazolam and 1mg risperidone because i was getting afraid of the strain that shit was putting in my heart.

i don't know much about stimulants though...

I know it's a matter of opinion, but I want to see the general consensus what the next best med is for recreational value after addy, vyvanse, desoxyn(considering those the top 3)?

And whatever that drug is, is the recreational gap between that and addy really big? Or do pretty much all the stimulant add meds have the same level of recreational fun given equivalent doses? I just need a general answer, I don't care about picking hairs, I know they are all a little different in the way you rise and fall, but If I'm just focusing on the peak of the high with say something like concerta/ritalin vs addy, any comparison? (I take my dose oral)

Open minded doctor is how I got mine. Although I had to try just about every stimulant.

Although not intended for ADD, Dextromethorphan (the common drug found in cough syrups) is good for treating ADD in moderation. A good dose would 100-200 mgs, depending on the severity of your ADD. I wouldn't go above 300, unless you planned on getting completely stoned and stripped from reality. This medicine is a dissociative and helps you focus a lot better on one particular task (from my experience). I'd take it only once daily; probably when you first get up. Your most intense effects will kick in about an hour upon consumption, and will last 4-5 hours. The aftereffects, however, should last the rest of the day. Take this on an empty stomach, but be sure to ingest some food after taking it (but not a whole lot).

What's best about this? It's over the counter, not prescription. Just make sure the only active ingredient when you buy the syrup (also comes in gelcaps) is Dextromethorphan hBr. I'd actually just start on 50 mgs just to be safe. If that doesn't work for you, increase it by 50 the next day. If it still does you no good, increase it again by 50 and etc. This isn't like an antidepressant where it builds up in your system over time. Like alcohol, weed, prescription opioids, etc. it hits you very soon after consumption.

i guess the best thing you could do is give Ritalin a try... never tried the others so really can say, but yeah Ritalin can be fun... don't know what kind of rec use you're looking for anyway, like idk if you want to stay awake for days or just feel a little speedy or something else...

Fuck Ritalin do not get that Dexedrine is best second is adderal than 3rd is vayanse sorry about my spelling I hate my phone

Wait...What?

I wouldn't put vyvanse 3rd, it breaks down into dextro-amp(Dexedrine) once it gets metabolized in the stomach , sure u can't sniff it or shoot it but prescription speed is best oral for effects, plus vyvanse lasts a long time and very smooth, I personally would put adderall at #3. They know adderall has side effects but Dexedrine is old school and they hesitate because it's in pure form, and can be abused. So they figured vyvanse cause it's only active oral and it is Dexedrine so patients now never gotta worry about adderall nasty side effects
