I'd say I like and listen to most genres.. black metal and hip-hop are the only ones I struggle with.

Like, sometimes you can't get through the day without hearing the peals of a Tibetan thigh-bone trumpet or a bawdy Sami hunting song? :)

Me, me! :) ... I just like "good music" really.

Like whenever someone discounts Metal as people thrashing on guitars, I always like to highlight the musicality of bands like Metallica, or even SOAD.

I can remember you telling me a while back about letting the music flow when I said about my dislike of 'House' - Gabba is the same <3. Happy Hardcore = is not music and does not fit into this thread - be gone!

Well of course, I am open to all kinds of music... but that doesn't mean I necessarily wish to listen to them with any regularity... I can just appreciate them.

I just got an album with some traditional Japanese music on it... Koto & Taiko mostly amongst other things I think. Very relaxing stuff to listen to - Futatsu No Den-En-Shi - Incidentally, that is the album!

I want to find more but if you search youtube you'll find a lot of new gen, hippie, relaxation shit that isn't genuine traditional Japanese music... difficult to source the actual stuff.

One of my friends from School is HUUUUUGGGEEE DT fan... he loves his metal. I find them a little heavy for my taste but there might be songs of theirs that I like if I looked.

I was raving when the 'Happy Hardcore' thing hit - it was fun but (for me personally) felt empty ? I don't like being hugged or kissed etc ever few minutes and like being to be able to get fucked up to the music. Hard Techno / Trance / Gabba was to me - fun. I used to wobble towards the 'happy hardcore' areas for a chill out - but the pace / the vibe was a bit too fake. At the time techno was a bit faster but felt more real?
