I posted the following article in the Drugs in the Media forum this morning and was told that as a Greenlighter I had to wait for it to be approved by a moderator but I can see that moderators have been active in the forum (a thread got moved hours after I made my post) but still my thread is nowhere to be seen?

https://theconversation.com/smoking-or-eating-marijuana-is-not-a-cure-for-cancer-24224

I sure hope the moderators aren't censoring material they might not agree with - because it is a well referenced and informative article :(

I've waited for 24 hours now - mods have been active in the forum :!

Can anyone tell me what's wrong with the above article?

calm down. bluelight is run entirely by volunteers and sometimes they're not going to get to something as quickly as you would like. let's respect their right to tackle their todo list in the order they feel is appropriate?

if you'd like to contact the ditm staff directly, feel free to do so. a word of advice - be civil and not pushy. bees, honey, vinegar and all that :)

regards and welcome to bluelight.

I am not 100% convinced that marijuana use will prove to be the cure-all many think it is.

Lots of effort for a very uninteresting article. Anyone who thought weed was a cure all for cancer is a fool.
It does help those suffering keep the weight on however, which can save countless lives on its own.

Welcome to BL Sir Push a Lot.

Hiya therightstuff,

Please don't be offended by what I'm about to say.

Personally I would be glad if a moderator took longer to approve an article because it's more likely that they are taking time to go through the article. This is a harm reduction site as you're aware n I'm sure you'd understand that the moderators will have to take time going through the article to ensure safety n that there isn't any mis-information.
There are hundreds of people joining Bluelight per day n so I'd imagine quite a few of you posting articles n waiting for approval. That's a lot of work for moderators as well as doing their genial day to day mod duties.

So please understand that it's nothing personal to you. They're not trying to censor you - if they did omit anything it would be for harm reduction reasons as I'm sure you'd appreciate.

I don't remember welcoming you in NMI if not welcome to BL. It's a good site.

Evey xxxx
