Hi guys

So I have only Gone like 2 days (50hrs) or so when I would run out of my oxycodone. I have up to a 400mg habit although if I'm running short ill go down to 150mg for like two days before I have none.
So in my two days of not having anything I would take gabapentin in high doses... I found that day one was pretty easy and then day two alittle rough. I never got past day 3. I'm curious if it jus keeps getting worse or will it mask the worst of the w/ds for the full 4 days of the supposed "worse part" of w/d?

Would love to hear any other stories with ppl using GABA for opiate w/ds

Gabapentin tolerance builds pretty fast. It will make the first 4 days of WDs a lil easier. You may have to through gabapentin WDs too once you stop it. So the best thing to do would be to taper oxy or taper gabapentin(or not use it at all).

Gabapentin in doses > 2000mg/day almost completely erased withdrawal symptoms from suboxone withdrawal. You WILL eventually have to face the music though.

Right now I'm taking around 900mg three to four times a day. I also add a flexiral here n there

Space your doses. The absorption and/or amount able to cross the BBB at any given time is limited.

For example, taking 600mg 4x day, 1 hour apart is more effective than taking twice that amount all at once.

I've (and several others, anecdotally) found that Aleve increases bioavailability.

Staggering the doses most certainly increases the effectiveness. More specifically, take no more than 300 mg as a single dose, and wait 45 minutes in between doses.

I too have found that Aleve helps, as well as something acidic, like a carbonated beverage.

Also, in my experience, you can open the capsule and "parachute" its contents for a quicker onset, as well as more sedation, if that is what you desire.

Thanks guys! That really helps. I knew it had a low ba, but I didn't know to take like 8 doses instated of 4..... Right now I'm at 40 hours again. I slept like a baby last night (day one 26 hours when I went to sleep). But this morning I felt alittle wds bit was too lazy to get out of bed to get my GABA levels up before wds creep up. So now that's what i need... To get my GABA up
