I ordered poppy pods on a website /snip/ and the poppy pods are dyed blue, does anyone know what species of poppy it is? And I contacted /snip/ and they didn't have any information on it.

There's no way of identifying unless you're some sort of learned horticulturist, so us random internet cunts with a 1 sentence description definitely won't know. The supplier is the only one that's going to be able to help you here.

The best I can do is suggesting to google poppy pods dyed blue, what I ordered comes up, but I understand if it's hard if not impossible to identify.

Unless you can provide some more details, there's really no way for anyone to be of any help.

I'm pretty sure it is either papaver somniferum or rhoeus.. It's listed as a wedding decoration, floral arrangement and for looks. Is rhoeus used in weddings? The bulbs are round, with what appears to be streaks running down them, a crown looking thing coming off the top, appear to be hairless and about an inch and a half down a roundish part on the stem.

This is the description given.

One bunch of beautifully dyed gorgeous deep blue color poppy pods contains 12 long-stemmed (12" - 20" in length) dried pods with heads ranging in size from 1/2" - 1" each in diameter. These pods are considered to be small to medium sized.

Dried poppy pods are extremely hardy and will last for many years in your arrangements or keepsake bouquets.

Please note: These pods are available in an extremely limited quantity and may not be back in stock for some time. Green is also available. Natural (non-dyed) pods are not available.
