I may consider taking etiz (at a regular dose) before i go to work, to calm me down. if i only take it once a day, 4 days a week will/would i build a tolerance to it, and therefore have to take more eventually to get the same effect, or is that only if you take them on a regular basis?

yes 4 days a week will cause tolerance and mental/physical addiction, eventually leading to withdrawal symptoms or withdrawal syndrome.
1 low dose per week is safe in my experience,
2 low doses per week could be pushing it,
3 low doses or 1 high and 1 low dose is definately enough to cause tolerance and addiction issues for me.

(this is for benzo with short half life like etizolam.
benzo like valium if u take it twice a week, it never gets out of ur system before next dose.
so addiction guaranteed)

If you don't want to build a tolerance, you really cant dose more than once or twice a week. That's it. 4 times a week is too often. Think about it, that's over half the week on a benzo. Of course you'll develop a tolerance and potentially even a dependency.

You could to that with GHB, but that would be problematic because 1 dose per 4 days while unlikely to cause addiction will make you appear quite drunk at work. Multiple doses would put you at risk for adiction, perhaps not just a few at work, but going from that to 24/7 is a small step. And 24/7 is the reason for all the GHB/GBL addiction horror stories.

If you do chose a benzo regardles, I'd rather take pyrazolam. It's not recreational so you'll never take aditional doses just cause it's nice.

You could also try 2-FA/2-FMA, it's a stim but has a surprising calming effect and stim addiction is not even close to benzo addiction. Of course both of these are relatively unresearched so they may do some damage in the long term (or may be harmless or anything in between)

maybe i'm naive about opiates,
but i think even oxy isn't as bad if u take 15mg twice a week,

compared with doing 1,5mg lorazepam twice aweek.

the gaba system that benzo's strongly influence,
easily produce rebound symptoms like more anxiety and insomnia,
which are hard to get rid off.

if ur withdrawing off low level oxy use,
i think the longterm negative withdrawal effects are much weaker than that which benzo's possibly cause.

i might be wrong

I agree with this. I know more people that chip long term with oxy then Benzos. At a certain point (~3days of use a week) most Benzo users I know decide they need it to function and accept dependency/addiction. My opiate user friends tend to fall into addiction during emotionally rough periods where they throw away the few off days off that keep them from dependency (which I'm speaking too specifically, not psychological addiction).
