I've been very interested in trying these drugs for a very long time. Surely with the vast experience on this board, someone out there has to have tried it. They're both commercially available (Immobilon/Wildnil, not for humans, but still), so someone must occasionally divert the things like everything else. So anyone tried it? Good high? Does it have the same receptor subtype selectivities/affinities as morphine that would make it a good opiate high? Long legs? Rush? And yes I am fully aware of just how dangerous using them would be, but have trusted friends and access to naloxone, so let's not go there. One day I shall get a hold of it, someone surely must know what I can expect.

It'll probably kill you. So I'm guessing those that have tried probably died and can't tell the tale. I'd assume they feel like fentanyl does. (Fentanyl isn't fun to boot. The thresholds for getting high and ODing are literally next to each other making it a dangerous drug to abuse.) The ones you want are even more so. I suggest you find some different ones, just my .02

carfentanil is supposed to be active in sub mcg dosage iirc?
anyways you should use a microgram scale to weigh a VERY little amount, put it in a bottle with water (don't know if it's water soluble, just an example) and make lollipops out of it. the take a lollipop and lick it a few times to gauge the strenght. if you have access to naloxone it's very good, but still not totally safe as you're taking extremely powerful substances.
there was a thread in OD some months ago of a guy that took carfentanil this way but he was disappointed by the high iirc. i think you can find it if you utse

Carfentanyl and etorphine have a higher affinity than naloxone or naltrexone, so unless you have the special opioid antagonist they sell with every package of etorphine, you're good as dead if you play with them.
They're probably about as "fun" as fentanyl is. They're super strong opioids, what do you expect.

^^ wikipedia claims that naloxone is usually used to reverse the effects of etorphine, while they use diprenorphie for animals. isn't that true?

In response to Swampfoxes question about the role of BL: This is a pertinent point which has never been more relevant than this very moment in history.
All drugs are dangerous, that's true. But just within the last couple of years we're seeing the public emergence of very powerful and unpredictable substances.
Do we need to draw a line? Are there some things that are just so dangerous that they ultimately should be kept in the dark? That's not a rhetorical question, I'd like to hear the thoughts of both mods and members on this....
I don't think that censorship helps in the long run, and I'm pretty sure the point of this forum is acknowledging that people are going to take potentially dangerous substances and to provide non-biased, practical information so that if people do use something they'll have the best possible chance of doing it as safely as possible.
But nothing is black and white... of all the things I can think of, carfentanyl must take the cake for having the highest, most extreme risk attached to it for a high that is not exactly renowned for being great. Obviously some like it, some don't. But is there a place for something where you can say without exaggeration, that for the majority of average people, dying from OD on this substance is actually likely. Maybe not the first time. Maybe people will be so scared of it they'll treat it with awe and respect, but any fentanyl derivative can put you under without warning even if you have used it dozens of times.

There are dangerous drugs, and then there are dangerous drugs... anything that can kill you dead, has essentially no commercial/effective antidote and is dosed in the single micrograms, I'm going to say is too risky for most people to bother with.
At least the acetyl/butyryl fentanyls will be reversed by naloxone. Carfentanil will not.
We also don't, in general, encourage people to use weaponised deleriants like BZ... even Datura is considered risky enough to make most people want to deter all but seasoned trippers.

Fair enough but something like Datura isn't even pleasant to begin with. Carfentanyl at least has the potential to be somewhat recreational. With that being said, you would specifically have to seek out Carfentanyl. There are plenty of other opioids that will be just as effective and more pleasant. I guess you're right, people shouldn't mess around with Carfentanyl, let alone, Fentanyl.
You could easily go down to your local dope dealer and buy a dime bag of H and be just as satisfied (if not more satisfied) than Carfentanyl. But then again, I wouldn't really know since the strongest opioid I've ever taken is Oxycodone and even then - I still liked a high dose of Codeine much better.

There's really not much information on how to go about administering carfentanil to human beings safely, and it's deadly in low microgram doses...diluting it to a uniform strength would be very difficult...etc.
If we started a "carfentanil megathread", the only posters would be dead people and polar bears who were subdued with it so they could be tagged!
Edit:I posted a link that was to an veterinary pharmaceutical site that had a little info sheet on how to use carfentanil on animals in the field, how to reverse it...but I took it down because you could actually order it through them...Even though you need to fill out all kinds of forms and provide the appropriate DEA number, I'm pretty sure it's still against the rules to post links to those kinds of sites.
They mentioned using naltrexone at a ratio of 100/1 to reverse carfentanil, with 1/4 administered IV, and 3/4 subcutaneous...and that it would take 2-10 minutes for the antagonist to take effect...which you'd be long dead or severely brain damaged by then...and who knows when applied to humans, they provided specific dosing info for some species of moose and deer...

Did I piss you off? I appreciate your answer and agree with all your points, you just seemed a bit annoyed.
If you're frustrated by the situation of things like carfentanyl being unleashed on a public that is simply not able to handle it (literally), then I understand. However, my post was not taking either side and was not intended to be antagonistic.
