Cold-ness off of certain drugs

And I feel like I've failed school now, SHM.. I've never tried ket. :p

If it makes you feel any better, I was a very late-developer on the ket front. Totally missed out on it when it was legal despite it being everywhere. Just didn't appeal to me at the time cos I was such a smacksnob. If it wasn't heroin (or crack) it was for degenerates. Funny the way drugs affect yer thinking really.

I first had ket... can't recall precisely but since joining BL so some time after 2006 - probably summer of '07 (possibly even '08)) cos it was brought back from one of the festies and was a bright, warm, sunny evening when me and my ladyfriend first took the plunge. Then played choo-choo trains with ket for the rest of the night. I do believe KLF are to blame for the choo-choo train imagery cos that was wot we were listening to much of the time and is one of their regular themes - one which appeared to stick.

Ketamine <3

I got serious goosebumps coming down from APDB too! More to the point, I found that my 300ug AL-LAD trip had me shivering for most of it (almost like my teeth and body were vibrating)...acid shivers anyone?

Seriously!

Ket is considerably safer at every turn than mephedrone. I did not realise that the person talking about being shit-scared of Ket was also actually ON one of the most addictive, toxic & unhealthy drugs I personally have ever come across... quite funny inretrospect! =D

Pretty ironic eh

anyways, i tried MXE first, k about 6 months after i think, its glorious stuff. anyone who likes nitrous will love k, thats the way i look at it anyway. takes you on an adventure. Bad a few bad mistakes of taking MXE to house partys, things got pretty twisted fast, turned the place into a nuthouse

Am I the only one who finds Nitrous to be pretty meh? The duration is incredibly short and it's not that trippy. Some reason I don't even laugh much off of it. :\
Does have an AMAZING body high though, the prickly face is fantastic.

When I started looking up what ket was before I had tried any or knew anyone that had, I read a bunch of erowid reports and it was these that really made me want to experience it. I bought it with the intention to k hole and never actually tried the stuff at a social dose until much later.

Anyway as impossible as it is to describe what it's like these reports in particular mirror my thoughts on ket pretty well, if you're at all interested in what the stuff is like at higher doses-

^ That makes it seem exciting which it can be but think my K days are over. Last time I K holed I had done way too much and could not make it to the tv in time to turn off the children in need appeal, alas the trip revolved around starving children and immense feelings of guilt. I do miss the days of feeling like a atom being blasted through a black hole and revelling in the beauty of time and space but my recreational drug use days has come to a close to a large degree.

2Cs are bad for that for me, always feel cold on them. Only exception lately was bk-2c-b, where I actually felt warm as if I were on MD.

Ketamine is weird, I feel cold at a spiritual level, but my body is completely desentisized(Is that a word?)

I often sweat on stims but started to notice it on higher doses of EPH, as have the friends I've done it with. Sat there with the fucking fire on under a duvet.

i think amt always seems to give me the chills throughout the experience, i seem to be cold as hell every day but im taking alot of etizolam so might be the withdrawls? i know stims do but wondering if withdrawls from benzo's/opiates/ethanol can give u that cold achy feeling, or is that just me? :/

ive left several parties or events due to the cold inducing properties of 2cI and 2cB...
i seem to get cold on anything speedy too... which is natural as most amps release vasoconstrictors

Intetesting point about the vasoconstriction Kingme. If the coldness in is in your extremities then this is very likely the reason. (As an aside, alchohol, which is a vasodilator, can actually be one of the best methods to accidently die of hypothermia. Think of the St Bernard with the keg around it's neck. Very unfortunate image stuck in people's mind unfortunatley. If you are experiencing hypothermia due to cold then your body will shut off blood supply to your extremities to save if for your vital organs. A couple of shot's of whiskey can have a previously stranded mountanear dead within half an hour, due to the alchohol opening up all the capillaries and taking the blood away from your vital organs to your hands and feet. You feel instantly warmer, shortly before keeling over backwards having died of hyper thermia.)

@ bare head

Withdrawals from all of the above will give you hideous fluctuations in temperature.

One last thing on the stims, apologies if someone had mentioned this already. Stims tend to fuck with your hypothothalamus. This is a region in your mid brain that deals with metabolic stuff such as body temperature. Many stim's will make your hypothamlamus go completely screw.

Desensitised is a word but it neuroscience it referrs to something called habituation. This just means your body adapting to a stimulus. A drug example would be increase in tolerance.Sensitiation means your body gets more sensitive to a stimulus over a time period, while desensitised means the opposite.

I know exactly what you meant though so I was just slipping that in there for those interested. Peace :)

I was mentally translating from Italian, what I meant to say was what you said in the latter part of your sentences. Sometimes you have words in different languages that sound the same but have different meanings.
