I dont really think they would have resources to catch someone claiming he's ordering 5g of weed in some internet forum :D

it takes almost no resources nowadays to track somebody down given even a single initial data point.

but i'm just saying its good to have an accurate idea of what risks exist so you can make an informed decision about what risks you're willing to take.

just trying to look out for you guys is all :)

I didnt mean that, I know how easily it is to get my ip address and get my exact location and address in minutes from the ISP.

Just that they wouldnt have the time and money to do that kind of thing when theres actual crimes going on all the time.

The greater risk here is that If I were to be under criminal investigation, these messages could be used against me.

That's what we'd all like to believe, but it sure would suck to be an example. An example that would be worth the fear it instills in other people, it may be worth the money in that kind of scenario.

yes, i agree. that is the real risk. (also though, you must live in a country where cops care about actual crimes. lol, in america they usually just grab at the low-hanging fruit).

again, not trying to scare people or fear-monger. just that its so trivial nowadays to do retroactive policing. if you catch the attention of the wrong people they can go back and build a dossier on you that includes anything you've ever posted online anywhere, and build correlative data grids and algorithmic profiles and etc etc. it takes almost zero monetary resources to do this nowadays

just be cognizant of that is all i'm saying

That gallery is not even remotely updated, none of my current stuff is in there. I designed the page, it's even a little outdated and is glitchy. My web site requires a lot of work. I'd actually prefer not to post it even though technically it's findable like you said.

i don't know all the details, but awhile back some people in The Lounge publicly organized a meetup and it ended up getting busted by the police.

or so i heard. (lots of misinformation in the lounge, though, so who knows)

I might have done so in TPH a couple times, but I wouldn't do it in the publicly viewed subforums.

.

I'm not much of a picwhore. So you can maybe find some of me in TPH. And if you look hard enough you'll find a little something something every couple of years or so in PD social.

Just watched the first episode of True Detective. The show is as good as everyone says. Definitely the best thing thing I've seen since Breaking Bad. I'm excited to see what happens.
Willow, thanks for pointing out the show.

Watching S01E07 atm, its definitely a must see. Highly recommended.

to my knowledge this has happened a few times with BL meetups, going all the way back the early 2000's. this board is definitely watched by LE. same thing with 4chan, though even moreso because they have so many pedos and creepers. the FBI takes that pedo shit serious as cancer, they really do go after those people almost every time (which i'm all for, that's the kind of stuff cops should be doing with their resources). but low level drug users are not a top priority to any LE organization, to my knowledge. like i keep saying, its just good to be aware that there are some risks and to be informed about them.

^ doesn't surprise me.

i don't think its a matter of whether or not they're watching, i think its a matter of whether or not they care.

still, best to exercise some caution imo. :)

at the very least don't write about what you have that is ABOUT to arrive! much safer to talk about it after you've safely grabbed it from your mailbox and brought it into your privacy of your home, i would think.

I wonder how the world looks in 50 years if I'm still alive. Is the war on drugs still going on then?

I think when people look back in history in 2100-2200 they will wonder what the fuck was going on with all this bullshit. Or the more realistic view is we are even more fucked by then.

Fuck this world, man.

yes, i agree. once its in your home then it makes the whole thing much more difficult for them, having to get warrants, and etc. orders of magnitude less likely that they will actually pursue you. and also, talking about drugs you've done in the past is very unlikely to get the attention of LE. just don't make their job super easy and you'll be fine.

It's hard to believe for me the stuff I read in Drug Culture from this "Best Excuse to tell Authorities Of Why You're In Da Hood..."-thread. US seems very much fucked!

Like police planting fake evidences and you're getting convicted for that. Also the whole idea that they would stop you and search your car if you're in wrong area is absurd.

It feels like we live in totally different planets guys

i hope we're not making these guys too paranoid, but it especially would matter if people you know IRL are aware of your bluelight presence. i've known some shady people in my day that wouldn't be above stealing a package from my mailbox if they knew what was about to arrive. =(

yeah i would imagine that Finland is much less scary than the USA, no joke.

in america its basically illegal to be black in a white neighborhood or white in a black neighborhood. you're right, it is very fucked.

yes, this was not my intention. keeping a level head, looking at the issue objectively, and calculating acceptable levels of risk is the most logical and prudent way to approach the issue of internet privacy/security imho
